It seems this location actually cares about service and upkeep of their restrooms, since the associate actually greeted me when I entered through the entrance and when I went straight to the bathroom, I happened to notice that they had a sign indicating to let the associate know if anything needed to be refilled/cleaned in the bathroom. Little details like that are greatly appreciated, and the main area with snack/drink selections looked very organized and tidy as well. Super easy to fill up, friendly service, and an easy to access (and clean) bathroom makes this place ideal for anyone that could be looking for a specific gas station on Yelp, haha.

I was hesitant about turning off the engine but it's unlawful to do so hence I did. To my consternation the engine wouldn't start again so here I was blocking the gas pump. I went in to let the attendant know about my situation. He was really nice and understanding and said it wasn't my fault. Such a soothing balm to my already frayed nerves. They have 4 stations, total of 8 pumps. Clean and conveniently located along Ramona blvd and Cogswell. The 605 and the 10 freeways are less than a mile away. I will keep coming back just because of the A1 customer service.

Here's the kicker: I rolled up to fill up when I saw the price on the sign for $5.49/per gallon. I also have a Mobile credit card that is supposed to give me $.10 off at the pump per gallon. HOWEVER, when I placed my card into the pump, the price went from $5.49 to $5.59 a gallon; $.20 more per gallon than I should have been charged. I cancelled my transaction before pumping and went inside to inquire; more like, complain. The clerk doesn't speak English very well but said that the price was for cash and not credit card. I tried to explain that sign outside does not say cash, and that my card is a Mobile card that is supposed to save me $.10 at the pump. But he said the owner set the machine this way. Anyway, I left and went to a different mobile station on Peck Road and got my gas there for $5.39. I don't like gimmicks and I don't like feeling cheated at the pump. So, I most likely will not return to this station again for gas, or for anything else. However, for others driving North on the 605 to the 210, this is pretty much the only gas station right off of the freeway for a quick fill up. For that, it is a relatively cheap fill, given the fact that in Monrovia, gas prices off the 210 are much higher... I mean, ridiculously higher.

My car is a hand me down from my pops, and although it's in pretty good condition, there has always been some troubles with my Land Rover (I've also heard this across the board to begin with). Either way, I'm trying my hardest not to give up this car to save some money rather than having to fork out a car payment and higher insurance. I had gone to several other Land Rover specialists and no one could seem to figure out a problem to my car. Instead, I spent hundreds of dollars diagnosing my car at different shops, yet still left with a stalled car. Sam (the mechanic here) was my dad's mechanic when my dad lived here. Sometimes though, as a stubborn child, you don't want to listen to your parents and make your own decision as far as figuring things out on your own. In this case, my dad was 1000% right that Sam was a great mechanic. In a day, Sam was able to diagnose the problem with my car, fixed it and had me going by the end of the week. I'll be honest, I was really nervous driving my car around, especially since my car had already been stalling on the side of the road...the car so far has been working pretty good. I'll be going back here for my LR3 needs.

Some pros are that the prices are cheaper and you can scan to pay. The biggest con is really the layout of this gas station. Looping around to line up is the most inconvenient at this location. It can make the wait extra long. I will return if it's the nearest Sam's Club gas station to me. If I'm able, I'd prefer to go to their other locations.

I just know that I paid $5.99/gallon for regular gasoline at Costco in Alhambra. Driving past V Red on the corner of Baldwin Avenue and Olive Street, I saw the "$5.89 regular" (when you pay cash) sign several times before I had a chance to stop by. Inside, the convenience store is still under construction. The two friendly partners were having positive conversations with all of the customers while being efficient. I told the man at the cash register that I'm "Pump One". He replied with a big smile and said, "Hi, Pump One!" LOL! His partner and I chatted about Hawaii, I filled my tank, got my change, and went on my way. If you're in the Temple City area, I highly recommend V Red when you need to fuel up!
