I used to be a regular here for my coffee and cigarettes. But they don't carry menthol and I stopped drinking coffee on the regular. I decided to stop by to get donut and coffee. Omg how much this store has changed. The food areas look so updated. I was intrigued by this new espresso machine and decided to used it. I loved it! My iced Americano was great. The donut on the other hand didn't taste as good as it used to. It was a bit on the dry side. Overall this store is still good imo. read more

This is the worse gas station I've ever been. Their prices are way over expensive! Please don't come here if you don't have to. So besides having a terrible bad customer service in their store, I won't over the details, their system pump sucks. The system ask you 2 questions about joining their dumb rewards program, and suddenly ask you if you selected the correct gas grade. Regularly I go and grab my snacks or even my lunch at any 7 eleven close by and today I decided to go to this location on the corner of el monte and lower azusa purchase my banana and got my iced coffee then I ask the clerk if there's a restroom that I can use, the guy responds in a not so nice manner " we don't have a rest room " thats all he said I will appreciate more if he said it in an apologetic way coz they need to have it I guess but he said it rede way. Pretty good 7-11 with the usual fare of coffee, snacks, and assorted "bad for you, but still fun" stuff. The staff is relatively friendly, and there are several entry and exit points to the lot. What also differentiates this place is that it has a full gas station. Reasonable prices for gasoline, and a tire air station that is pretty convenient. The surprisingly large parking lot has exits and entrances on both El Monte Ave. and Lower Azusa, partly to facilitate queues for the gas pumpls. Gets a little hairy at night sometimes, but for the most part, this is a solid 7-eleven. Occasional panhandlers, homeless folks (Lee is a nice dude, but he usually hangs at the 7-Eleven on 2nd and Live Oak to collect change... then spends it here.) Nearby In N Out and other local spots make this a good alternative to more expensive fountain drinks, or beers at the Bowling Alley. This is my go-to 7 Eleven when I have to go to Home Depot. 7-Election is the advertisements I have been seeing around. I cannot say I can take all of the credit for coming in on Election Day. I saw Kim T's check-in for the extra tip on getting my free coffee. I would have gone in and fixed myself a cup of coffee but had to pay for it. She mentioned in her check-in that you need to download the 7-Eleven phone app. You would be able to scan that with your extra large cup of coffee. You also get to choose the red cup, Republican, the blue cup, Democrat, or the white with purple print, neutral or non-partisan. This is pretty funny because on the app shows you which cups have been selected at most or all 7-Eleven locations across the country. If it was based on the cup selection, neither Democrat or Republican would have won. That's only in the dream world that this result would happen. As one of my high school teachers have said, probably quoting a movie quote, "wake up and smell the coffee..." I do like the different selections of coffee offered here. Just like my tea, I prefer the most basic non-flavored or regular as possible type of coffee. Columbian is a good choice for me and I also saw one that says Cinnamon. I wonder if that's like drinking a cup of coffee in Mexico called cafe de olla. Now that would be a really good one until I woke up again smelling the coffee. I do appreciate the different syrup selections so you can have one pump of one flavor or one pump of each flavor. The options of different creamers is really awesome too. French Vanilla in that blue container Coffee Mate usually has along with that Irish Cream in that green container. There is one for Hazelnut and nother one called Black Coffee Shot by SToK. I guess I should have put that coffee shot in my extra large non-partisan cup. It definitely was a really hot cup of coffee because I was able to sip it for the first part. I got through half of it by the time I got to work. You just have to drink enough so it doesn't splash out of the lid even though you have it closed. I realize this is just a review for the coffee on Election Day. I'm sure everyone else has a different experience at this location. For as long as I can remember Mary has worked the register there and has been nothing but a beacon of light, joy, and peace. However, today was the first time in 20 years I felt extreme racism by the owner. It seems that I'm not the only person who has problem with the elderly man at the counter. Got a 7th free drink from my app. He scanned the barcode from my phone and told me "invalid membership". I showed him my free drink reward on my phone with lots of points and he kept insisting that my membership was invalid. How could that be? Is this store a scam? I ask him if I should just leave the drink that I dispense and he immediately took my drink and went to the side. I left fairly pissed. Later I went to another store. I love stopping here to get my coffee. The coffee is always ready and the people are friendly. This 7-11 is also a gas station and has a GameFly rental kiosk in case you're dying to rent a video game. They also have chicken wings and pizza ready to go in case you need a snack. I know not all 7-11's have this so this one even better. Bring your own coffee cup and it's only a $.99 refill. I bring my reusable Starbux cup and fill it up. I always smile when I pay and the girl behind the counter says in broken English, "Have nice day..." read more
