There are a ton of interesting and unique coffee drinks, sweet breakfasts, and omelets. The meat lovers (ham, bacon, and sausage) was a bit salty, but a side of fruit balanced that out, and the sourdough bread was light and fresh. The tres leches pancakes was overindulgent but very sweet. The whip cream was too much as the pancakes themselves were enough of a treat. Some of the pancakes came topped with ice cream which is a mood, but I'm trying not to go too crazy. The service was great, and there are a lot of interesting menu items I'd like to try again. Coffee was kind of weak. Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms. It was quiet on a weekday, but I think there's really something for everyone on the menu and look forward to coming back.

The young waiter seemed helpful and knew the menu. That's the very end of the good part. Since prices were high side here, we expected good food made to our preference. After all, it was only simple breakfast. My wife's eggs ordered sunny side up and soft came over done and hard. My "sizzling steak" with eggs ordered scrambled Very soft came with the eggs not even warm and overcooked stiff. The 'Sizzling Steak' was anything but. It came in a sizzle type plate, but was gray and looked and tasted like badly boiled cheap meat. I say boiled because the plate had zero sizzle and it was drowning in lukewarm brown water. It looked and tasted awful. When I finally got the waiter's attention, he got what I assumed the kitchen manager. She was polite and seemed eager to right this. She had a second order made for me... That was worse than the first. Same overdone hard but barely warm eggs. This time they even tasted funny. Not good. The steak.... Another gray slab of very bad meat. This was The Most expensive breakfasts on their menu. As I write this, I'm still sitting with a sick stomach from the little I forced down of it. In small consolation, I asked for my breakfast cost be removed, as I wasn't going to let them try 3 times a charm. This was a first visit. But I honestly can't see attempting a second as we both feel stomach sick after.

There was a person in line that even said she drove over an hour away to experience this coffee shop. From the moment we arrived we were disappointed. The location is very small. We opened the door to come in but found that you could not fit more than 4 people comfortably in the shop at one time. We had to wait outside for about 10 minutes before we could even step foot in the door. My fiance ordered the Harvest Latte and I ordered the Gingerbread latte. Mine came with a little gingerbread cookie which was nice. The total was $15 for TWO lattes. That price is literally ludicrous for 2 cups of coffee. Price aside it came time to try our lattes and we realized what a bad decision it was to have tried Due-Back. My fiancés Harvest Latte tasted of the most bitter artificially sweetened berry you could ever have. It completely masked the coffee in the drink. My gingerbread cookie was good, but my latte? Not at all enjoyable. For some reason I could also taste berry in my drink. Possibly because the berry was in the coffee grinds from the previous drink and they did not do an adequate job of cleaning the grind basket in the coffee machine before making the next drink. Apologies but not worth the $15 at all. We will not be Due-Back any time soon.

First off, this place is right out of an Instagram post for the 'perfect' Instagram photo. Pink flowers everywhere, gold trimmed frames, gold in the faux marble tabletops, etc. nice attention to detail. We started with some coffee and the server asked if we'd like them flavored (it's a $.75 up charge which she didn't mention) and I had salted caramel while my wife had vanilla caramel. Very tasty coffee. Wifey ordered a Mango lemonade for us to share (it was also very good. For her meal she ordered the goat cheese and mushroom frittata and I had the Meat lovers omelet with a biscuit and well done potatoes (bacon, sausage, ham and pork roll, cheddar). My wife liked hers - came with arugula on top and a drizzle of olive oil. Mine was also good, but it had a flavor, probably in the sausage, that I just couldn't place. Overall a very nice experience. Very good service, cute location, off-season parking was easy, and very good food.

It was a Friday morning and we got there right after they opened and were quickly sat and our meals came out fairly quickly. It seemed fairly small so I'd expect to wait a lot longer if you came mid morning on the weekend. Everything we had was top notch. My daughter had the chicken tenders which you could tell were house made. My wife had the biscuits and gravy which was more like a chicken and dumpling soup, but out of this world. You could tell the biscuits alone would have been some of the best around. My churro waffle was excellent and I loved the flambéed taste of my s'mores latte. I hope this place does well so we can come back on our next visit to Seaside.

They had a special matcha for a limited time called the Applejacks matcha, so I ordered that. I had them take off the white chocolate and do oat milk because I'm vegan. I absolutely loved it. It was so delicious and flavorful, and it was the best flavored matcha I had had in a long time. I do love regular, traditional matcha with no flavoring, so I'm not talking about that. I'm just talking about a flavored matcha that was so good. After a couple of weeks, I went to the Manalapan location and had the same matcha. While it was not as good as the Brick one, I didn't really hold that against them. Then a couple of weeks later, I went back to the Brick location and they told me they didn't have matcha because they ran out. They said their customers who really love matcha were not happy about it either, and that they didn't know when they were going to get it back in. That's why I took away one star. They are a business and should make an effort to always have matcha available. Matcha not being available one day is one thing, but not having it and not knowing when it's coming back is another thing. I just don't think that's acceptable. Besides that, this place is really good. Their drinks seem really creative. I've mostly only had the matcha because I love matcha. It also seems like a really nice place to sit and study, and it always seems clean. The day they didn't have the matcha, I got a chai tea instead and it wasn't that great, so I know not to get the chai again. Overall, I do like California Cold Co. a lot and I hope the whole matcha thing doesn't happen again. It seems like a really good, solid place.

Beach Culture - Sourdough bread with many choices for toppings!!

I've been in SSP for years and have passed by this establishment several times and did not try it…read moreout until recently! Beach Culture is unabashedly that - a little eatery that celebrates all things beachy! Having said this, I appreciate Beach Culture for what it is - a little stop for a small bite on the way to the beach. Believe it or not, there is usually a line outside this place on the weekends, and I can see why with a younger crowd especially. Young, beach-going vacationers will feel the pull of the waves as they stop in for a smoothie or an acai bowl. (If I was a kid, that's what I would do anyway!) I came here a few times last week - once to check it out and grab some food for myself, and once to bring my nieces because I felt like they would dig this place. I purchased a few of their toasts both times - for $4.50 each, the price is admittedly a liiiiiittle on the steep side for some bread with toppings, but Beach Culture needs to survive somehow, right? I do have to say, both toasts were very well balanced with fruit and toppings (one was banana / peanut butter / cacao and the other was strawberry / nutella / cacao ) - really nice for a light breakfast. I also grabbed a shaka coffee which was extremely tasty - and I can't wait to try their other specialty mixes. My nieces opted for a acai bowl and went absolutely bonkers for it, saying it was better then Playa Bowls (which is their all time favorite). There are a few things that prevent me from giving Beach Culture five stars, even if those things can't be helped. Seating is definitely limited - there are only two small tables outside - and the workers here can be a little on the slow side (although, they are all so lovely and friendly). But it's BEACH CULTURE, so if you're in a rush when going to this place, are you even at the beach? I also will admit their menu is a bit limited, but I take it for face value. If you want a quick / light snack, a coffee, or a smoothie, then this place will satisfy your needs. I adore this little eatery at the Jersey Shore, and will be coming here to get my caffeine fix!

We had an honest conversation and she assured me that they will be addressing the behavior and working towards preventing these kinds of issues in the future. This is truly an example how a business owner should behave and so kudos to you! I can tell from our interaction that she takes pride in her business and wants everyone to enjoy their time there. Although I still stand by my last review, I also want to edit my statement that I would never go back. I would give them a second try if I'm ever back in the area just based on how this situation was handled by management.
