Not, oh, I am so sorry, please let me get you another one or is there something else we can get you? Tonight , I had quite an interesting exchange at the Kingsway Mall Food Court Dairy Queen. I ordered a medium strawberry sunday and received what looked like the leaning tower of strawberry sundays. I tasted right at the counter because I could see the consistency of the soft ice cream was 'off' by just looking at it and the taste confirmed the visual - it tasted gummy and airy/fluffy not smooth and creamy like the typical soft ice cream. When I said something is wrong with the ice cream to the cashier who had taken my cash/order, I knew immediately that this was going to be a 'problem' because the missus in the back that was making the ice cream treats was like the wicked witch of the west as she shot back, "what's the problem?" and her solution to rectify the CUSTOMER SERVICE was to grimace "thats the way it came out of the machine!" (Don't bother to apologize for selling a substandard product, just go ahead and blame the equipment.) The Wizard of Oz's Wicked Witch of the West said that she would have to call the manager! Imagine that, it takes the manager of the Dairy queen to rectify the problem ( cost a whole $3.40 for this transaction). Well, it got no better, the manager came out and he questioned me as to the problem with the ice cream...you would have thought we were trying to split atoms and send them onto an electron accelerator... As a manager since the line worker clearly did not have any customer or Ice Cream Creation skills, I would have thought that he then would have taken on the supplicative approach but that was not to be and he was definately no manager.

A shopper ahead of me with a large $300 order, while I wait for another cash to open with my six items. The female manager decides its a great time to talk to the busy male cashier about shift policy with another employee, slowing down the line even more. This store is poorly run, by the same tired crew from the 90's. No responsibility about wrongly priced items, they will fight you to the bone about scanning code of practice. No thx.
