I think most people have an idea of what makes a 711 great... $0.05 candies, Slurpees, and an endless array of chips, pop, chocolate and other goodies. This 711 is a "fake" 711. If you can get past the smell upon first walking in the door (And trust me, the smell is STRONG and it not going anywhere) and make it down any of the isles you will be greatly disappointed by the lack of selection and the lack of "711 feeling" that this store refuses to give off. I avoid this store at all costs now. If I do go in, I rush quickly to get out of the foul stench and usually forget one or two things I meant to get. Indeed, this "711 impostor" is not worth the trip.

Everytime I go I always get their halo halo which I honestly think is the best in Edmonton. Their halo halo is only available during the warm seasons but is perfect on a hot day. If you're a little hesitant about beans or corn, their halo halo essentially just has coconut, cassava, ube and jelly for mix ins. I would really suggest stopping by there if you haven't tried halo halo before - it's so tasty. A few times I've been in their they've made fresh lumpia fried plantains! Inexpensive, fast and delicious! Therss also a place in the store where you can send money back to the Phillipines which I think is pretty neat. Overall it's a nice store with a lot to choose from and the ladies working there are so nice! Lots of parking and in quite a convenient location for west-end residence as well.

I stopped in for an aloe drink while waiting for the 112 bus and decided to wander the store a bit and price compare. The prices here are much better than at the 2 big convenience stores but the selection was more limited and there were quite a few shelves and coolers that looked like they desperately needed filling. The lady working the front counter seemed nice and unlike the big 2 convenience stores they seem to welcome their customers hanging around a bit with picnic tables set up at the side of the building versus 7-11 and Mac's no loitering policies. If I am in the neighborhood again I would pop in again for a drink or snack as they seem like a pretty permanent fixture in this community.

Convenient, well-stocked store with everything you could ask for in a convenience store and more…read more By more - I mean they have ready-to-go pizza, donairs, burgers, poutines, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, etc. The owner isn't overly friendly and the place could use a bit of a face-lift, but I'm not here to make best friends or marvel over the ambiance. There are also two gas pumps outside - but they look pretty dated. Overall - a good place to have in this exact location considering there really isn't much else around here that serves this purpose.
