Great coffee shop with a nice vibe and decor. We ordered a cappuccino and a macchiato. The…read morecappuccino was creamy, well-balanced, and served at the perfect temperature. The espresso was smooth and mild -- not too bitter or sour. The service was average, as I waited over 10 minutes to receive my drink. Prices were reasonable for a small coffee shop. There is a seating area, but depending on the day and time, it can get very crowded and the music can be quite loud. It's not the best place if you're looking for a quiet spot to sit and read. There's a small parking lot in front of the shop, but spaces are limited. Some customers park briefly to grab drinks and leave, and if your car gets blocked in, you may need to wait before exiting.

Creamy and spicy without too much sweetness. I often get my coffee beans from here. They print their roast date on the bottom of the bag (roasted at their hyattsville location) and they always have a great variety of beans. Occasionally I'll get an almond croissant and enjoy it if there's seating. On nice days, there are benches right outside, even with a view of the parking lot and the construction across the street, it can be nice. I enjoy this location, though parking is tight. If you're not lucky enough to get a spot, you can park next door in the paid lot behind the businesses right past Vigilante.

We got the Kebab with chicken and beef. We also ordered the Doner Sandwich. The kebab platter was better than the sandwich. The Sammie had no sauce or extra flavor to it. The bread and meat were good, it was just missing something. We also got their tea and dessert which was the highlight for me!! I bought two of the deserts and tea. They include tax which is 20% There's a big garage under ground Beautiful grounds and friendly people Ambiance is very relaxed and not too strict

However, I would say that the music plays from a little Bluetooth on the corner of the restaurant and it's not the greatest quality, would cut in and out, and it was just blaring way too loud, making it hard to have regular conversations. Service wasn't too bad overall. There was only one weight staff who had all the tables in the restaurant which made her spread out pretty thin. But we wouldn't get regular refills or Water and took so long to get water (waiting up to 20 min to try to get her attention) and at the end of our time together she finally gave us a pitcher of Water, but a little late as we're most done. Also, it took a while to get basic things we had ordered coffee but either she forgot to bring us coffee or she didn't ring it in and we weren't able to get it until after our food was delivered. So service, while she was friendly and kind, our service was definitely subpar. Hopefully this wasn't bc she had automatic tip bc our party was so large for her lack of service. 1/5 for service The food was amazing for the most part. I had gotten the salmon BLT and it was moist and tender with good flavor and seasoning, and the bread had a great texture and flavor to it as well. The bacon was nice and smoky and the sauce that was paired with it made it great. The hashbrowns were so crispy and seasoned with great flavor and salt! This was a winner! 4.5/5 Yeah, I got a bunch of other dishes, but I only tried small bites here and there of other people stuff. What I would say, is that the Cajun pasta shrimp was cooked perfectly and was tender and had great flavor! And that sauce was amazing! The sausage I tried wasn't the best but decent! We got biscuits and wings as appetizers, and the wings were great, good flavor, good crunch, and a decent size. However, there needs to be more wings in the order for the price. The hot honey sauce as good! 4/5 The biscuits were pretty moist and had a great texture and consistency, You get two for the order! 4/5 Overall, the food is pretty amazing. However, the service was pretty bad. Maybe this was a one off but just prepared for a long waits for everything from water to getting a drink order.

We stopped by the cafe for a couple of beers before heading back to our part of MD. I think we originally wanted to have a meal there, but the patio was full so we went to another location for lunch. I thought New Deal Cafe had a decent variety of draft beers. Ok, so the selection included three IPAs and one lager. However, IPAs are my beer go-to so it worked for me. The service at the bar was great. Our bartender, Renee, was quite hilarious. I got the sense that this is local "where everybody knows you name" because the customers seemed super social with each other. Looking forward to our next New Deal Cafe visit.

The back room (separated from the front) has the sound stage and additional tables (where patrons and also order and dine while enjoying the music). At the front there is also a big screen tv where the performance is "streamed" from the other space. Cool concept that also works in practice. They have all types of music, open mic, and karaoke. Foodwise they have a menu that is vegan-friendly. A small case of pastries are available as well as wine and beer. A cheesesteak and wings business also seem to be operating in that space. We got drinks (me, green tea) and others also got pastries for dine in. Everything was good and the service was very welcoming. Had to leave before the band started but will catch a performance soon. Great local business!
