A very nice and clean store that has all the convenience store goodies you might expect. I came by to cash in my winning scratchers Lottery ticket and actually turned it in for more scratchers. The young employees were very friendly and polite.

This was originally a Shell gas station with a minimart, and was recently converted into a 76 gas station with a 7-Eleven. It's located right off of Huntington, nestled within a residential El Sereno neighborhood (making it really convenient for locals that live nearby.) This 7-Eleven is quite smaller than your average 7-Eleven but has everything you need from slurpies, to hot dogs and even $5 pizzas when you need dinner in a pinch. Not bad at all. Of course whenever I don't give five stars to a place I really dig, there's always a reason. I mentioned it was small for a 7-Eleven - and it does feel kind of cramped in there. I feel like (when they did the converting) they should have remodeled the building, expanding it a little, rather than just smacking a 7-Eleven sign on top of the thing. I'm not complaining too bad though. Glad to be able to grab gas, snacks, and a lotto ticket all in one stop as opposed to most 7-Elevens that are not connected to a gas station. Heck, you can even get a great drive-through car wash while you're here. Super convenient!

Teach your employees some Customer Service!! Doesn't matter if I spend a dollar or a hundred dollars, it is customer service that will bring me back. The two teenagers had no clue. After paying I said thank you, yes I said it. I also made the comment, have a nice day, neither had been replied to. Remember, it is 7-11 and their employees should say thank you for giving them my business. What a shame. And in the future we are supposed to be paying $ 15-20 minimum wage for such service. What a joke!!!

Coke Slurpee hasn't been functioning since last night.

There's always long lines here. The gas is expensive. I would suggest going to the Arco a mile down Huntington Dr. if you can make it.

Lots of seating, some tables and chairs, some bench tables. Free WiFi and several outlets make it a great spot to get work done. There's a bathroom for customers as well. I went midday and it wasn't very busy on a weekday, but I'm sure it's popular on the weekend. I got my drink very fast as well. Really enjoyed it!

The coffee was well-made - it wasn't burnt, overly bitter, or sour, so the extraction seemed solid. However, the flavor felt flat and watered down. It lacked the aroma, body, and rich roasted notes that make a cup memorable. Nothing really stood out, leaving it tasting more diluted than satisfying. Also, I don't think the barista could froth the coffee well. Instead of a nice velvety, dense froth, the froth was a bubbly foam (see photo). Food - 3/5. I visited around 9 a.m., but the pastry selection was surprisingly limited (see photo). The pastries also didn't taste particularly fresh; they had more of the texture and flavor you'd expect from pastries sitting out later in the day rather than freshly baked items you'd hope to find early in the morning. The café has a modern, hip vibe and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's spacious, with plenty of seating, making it a pleasant place to spend some time. Overall, Smoking Tiger Coffee Lab is a fine neighborhood café if you're looking for a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a coffee. Unfortunately, neither the coffee nor the food left much of an impression. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing really stood out either. While the ambiance is probably its strongest point, the coffee is just average.

They have some tables but not enough for a place to hangout to be honest. Their whole concept is pretty much a open kitchen, order and walk to the back and wait for your order. Can get pretty cramped but that's just how their shop is designed. Parking - Free in a one way outdoor lot. If it's full, there's the plaza right next door and/or street parking, plenty overall. Their menu is quite extensive, from teas, boba, coffee, fruit teas, they've got it all. For first timers, they have a signature section which I think is basically their most popular drinks, they're all recommended to try. My wife and I ordered the Oreo Matcha Brulee and the Uji Matcha Latte to share, both came out pretty quickly, around 5 minutes or so. I'm a huge sucker for oreo matcha brulee type drinks and this place made it perfectly. Each sip is full of the ingredients, very refreshing, and perfect sweetness in my opinion with 30% - 60% sugar level. Overall, great tea shop, it's pretty ironic to find a place that's just called "The Tea" which can be hard to search up, but their drinks are high quality, staff is quick, and their shop is clean. Very impressed.

I kept thinking, *"How many boba shops do we really need?"* One thing that stood out was their ordering system - they don't use the usual percentage options for sweetness and ice. Instead, they have "Perfect Sweet" and "Perfect Ice." Whatever that means, right? I was still skeptical. I waited until I got home so my wife and I could try it together. Mind. Blown. Even though it's a bit of a drive for us, we've already gone back three times in a month. That might not sound like much to some people, but for us to make a special trip just for boba says everything. It's not the fastest. You'll probably wait 5-10 minutes in full, but perfection takes time, and it's absolutely worth it. Suggestion: a stamp or loyalty card would be awesome. No disrespect to the brand, but I think the real Torotea fans would appreciate it.

My friends also love their chocolate ones . Each one has a thin crust and generous filling--just be careful not to let the filling burst out when you eat them! Besides cream puffs, I never expected their other pastries to be this delicious Rose Lychee Croissant Their laminating technique is truly impressive--crispy and flaky with a sweet-tangy sauce, perfect for summer. Dubai Chocolate Although it's topped with chocolate sauce, it's not as sweet as expected--perfectly suited to Chinese tastes. The pistachio paste is deliciously fragrant! Kimchi Bacon Roll Number one in my heart! I'm a firm believer in sweet-and-savory combos! It's packed with bacon and eggs , mixed with kimchi, yet has a delightful sweetness--just one bite and my eyes lit up!! Flat & Crispy Like a little snack, crunchy and delicious--I love munching on it while watching TV. Almond Croissant In addition to the crispy almond slices on top, it's filled with a refreshing lemon sauce that's delicious and light. I've had their sesame latte before, and this time I tried their pistachio iced Americano, recommended by a friend! The first sip of the pistachio cream was incredibly rich and delicious. I tried several cream puff flavors, and I definitely recommend chilling them before eating. The shell stays crisp, and the filling tastes even better cold. My favorites were the Maple Pecan and Black Sesame Hojicha. The maple flavor was noticeable without being overly sweet, and the slightly bitter dark chocolate coating balanced it really well. The black sesame and hojicha combination was also excellent, with a strong nutty flavor followed by a subtle roasted tea finish. The Dubai Pistachio Chocolate Croissant was easily the highlight of my visit. The croissant was flaky and crisp, and the inside was packed with crunchy pistachio kataifi, chocolate, and a generous amount of pistachio cream. The pistachio flavor tasted natural and nutty rather than overly sweet or artificial, and you could actually taste small pieces of ground pistachio. I also really enjoyed the Kimchi Bacon Garlic Roll. It had a great mix of savory, slightly sweet, creamy, smoky, and tangy flavors. The Raspberry Rose Lychee Croffin was lighter and more refreshing, especially after being chilled. The raspberry, rose, and lychee flavors worked surprisingly well together without tasting too floral. Even the Almond Croissant had a nice surprise inside with lemon custard, which helped balance the richness. Their flattened croissant was also incredibly crispy and reminded me of an extra-buttery palmier. I paired everything with the pistachio coffee, which was another standout. The pistachio cream topping was thick, rich, and actually tasted like pistachio instead of just flavored syrup. There are so many creative items here, but the flavors still feel thoughtful and well balanced. I would absolutely come back for the pistachio croissant, cream puffs, and coffee.
