The guy Staff said he wanted to make it when we arrived so it would be hot. He said it will be ready in 6 minutes lol ok!! We waited around and bought some stuff. The staff was nice. I needed to purchase an iPhone cable and everything was closed. My phone was low on battery and I was starting to get desperate for a charge. I ended locating this place through Yelp. The location was pretty clean and no homeless people in sight. Keep in mind it was 5 am in the morning when I went. So I found an iPhone charger right away. I had to ask the cashier attendant for help because the cables had a lock on them. Both cashier attendants were extremely nice and both had smiles on their face. Especially this young one, she was really pretty (Besides the point). The only thing I didn't like is that this generic iPhone charging cable cost 17$. This is one of my favorite 7-11's mainly for two reasons: 1. It's optimally located off a bike route, clean, and has a bunch of conveniences. 2. They always blast classical music outside the store and it's the best thing ever bc NO OTHER 7/11 DOES THIS... Someone once told me that they do this at shops to prevent unwanted loitering and I guess it works really well except now they get me. Idk... They win some, they lose some. Also, this spot is ALWAYS stocked with Mint Yerba Mate! BUT this spot does not carry 7-11's branded Coconut Water... I know ... It just looks like pink water... My siblings and I decided to go to this 7/11 to take advantage of the two slices of pizza with a large big gulp for $4. My sister wanted a bean and cheese burrito. They were only 2 employees at the store. Upon arrival, we can see that the pizza was not fresh as it looked like it has been on display for 24 hours. In addition, they were out of many burritos including the bean and cheese one. The story was completely empty when we arrived and the employees were just standing around. You're going to tell me that the employees did not have time to restock their items such as their burritos! You're going to tell me they couldn't keep their pizza fresh. I still purchased the slices of pizza and the crust was super stale. It was the only meal i had yesterday and it gave me diarrhea. On top of that, the little Asian girl who is the cash register was super out of it. We had to repeat our orders to her like 3 times. Do not come here. "The manager doesn't work on the weekends" says the the employees, Alexis and Armando. I stood up for a man who was only there to purchase an item. They were hostile towards him because he was different. If I wasn't in the store I don't know what would've happened. Armando was extremely violent with his words and didn't want to give the man his item after he purchased it and Alexis was only there to ridicule the man for being tall and black with a feminine type voice. Who are they to judge anyone? If I hadn't said "why are you talking to my friend like that?" Armando might've taken it to the next level. This was originally a Shell gas station with a minimart, and was recently converted into a 76 gas station with a 7-Eleven. It's located right off of Huntington, nestled within a residential El Sereno neighborhood (making it really convenient for locals that live nearby.) This 7-Eleven is quite smaller than your average 7-Eleven but has everything you need from slurpies, to hot dogs and even $5 pizzas when you need dinner in a pinch. Not bad at all. Of course whenever I don't give five stars to a place I really dig, there's always a reason. I mentioned it was small for a 7-Eleven - and it does feel kind of cramped in there. I feel like (when they did the converting) they should have remodeled the building, expanding it a little, rather than just smacking a 7-Eleven sign on top of the thing. I'm not complaining too bad though. Glad to be able to grab gas, snacks, and a lotto ticket all in one stop as opposed to most 7-Elevens that are not connected to a gas station. Amazing place, I go there every so often for coffee in the morning (because the coffee prices are reasonable) and the employees are always so nice and respectful. About the car wash...BEWARE. It's not a "real" car wash. Just spent $9, waited more than half an hour, and got "half" a car wash (exterior only). The on-duty attendant only wipes down the exterior of the cars and does nothing inside. If you need vacuuming, you have to do it yourself and pay an additional $1.50 for X number of minutes. If you need the inside of your windows cleaned, you have to do it yourself. What a waste of time and money. This was the first time I went there. They have a sign which list what you get for the various price points. True, it does not list interior cleaning of any type. However, it does not exclude it either. No where does it state "exterior only." I spoke with the manager to request a partial refund. Had I known there would be no interior cleaning, I would have gone elsewhere. The manger denied my request on the basis that because interior cleaning was not listed, I should have realized it would not be done. However, the sign does not list that there's an on-duty attendant to "chamois" off the exterior to finish drying the car and exterior windows. Yet, there was such an attendant providing that service in a highly visible location. So if attendant services are being provided even though they are not listed, how should I as a first-time customer know that attendant services are exterior only? I guess the concept is for some type of "speedy" machine wash. Although it's not speedy. I paid for the wash at 4:27, got in line right away, and finally reached the machine at 4:57. Typical time at the regular car wash is 20 to 25 minutes in total (which includes exterior and interior cleaning). Since the manager would not approve a partial refund, I will no longer be a customer. There's plenty of other gas stations and 7-Eleven stores in my neighborhood. read more
