My issue with visiting a 7-Eleven is that there isn't one close by where I live. Markham no longer has a store. The closest one by my home is in Pickering. It's not exactly five minutes away! On weekends, I often travel along Rutherford Road. There are two 7-Eleven stores on this road that bookend Highway 400. I decided to try the first one that I hit after work going eastbound last Thursday night, which was this one. There is plenty of parking. I managed to back into a spot. This store has a gas station. Prices are cheaper in this area than the GTA in general. There were lots of pumps available at 7:30 pm. I walked in and looked at the beverages in the fridge. There were great deals on pop, which I love. There's a new orange sorbet Coke. I stood there looking longingly and happily at the bottles. A orange Coke float in a bottle was a dream to me. I snapped out of my trance and got two. The cashier at the counter was great. I paid and had my 7Rewards barcode scanned on my app. Points earned and preserved. Mission accomplished! I grabbed my cold bottles of pop and cheerfully headed back to my car. The chicken wings and nuggets smelled so good. Had I not had dinner, I would have bought some. The hot foods are pretty good at 7-Eleven if you're in a rush and need to get rid of your hunger pangs. I'd come back here again. I like this 7-Eleven. Traffic does get crazy in this area, as there are box stores five minutes away. It's also roughly ten minutes away from Vaughan Mills and Canada's Wonderland. (364)

There is only room for one person at a time. I decided to just get 6 donuts which were 4.99. You can get 2 flavours with the 6. I opted for 3 classic cinnamon sugar and 3 vanilla glaze. I had already seen the pile of donuts, (think the style and size of tiny toms) under the heat lamp and was super disappointed when the girl started scooping from the pile. I high key hoped she was going to start making some fresh ones buuuut no. Anyways, brought them home and just from picking it up I knew it was not going to be good. They were hard, surprise surprise and there was just nothing special about them. Again, probably a diff story if they were fresh, but I got what I got. I didn't even eat them all. As airports go, it's not too bad, but almost without exception, the food vendors are a bunch of ripoff artists. I know, I know: it's traditional for airport eateries to jack up their prices, since passengers are afraid of leaving the secured area in search of sustenance, and then having to go through all that rigmarole again to get back in, especially if they don't have that much time to make their flight. But the food prices once you pass security at Pearson inspire horror mixed with rage ("I've been on the road for three hours getting here, my blood sugar's down, I won't last long enough to board the plane, let along wait for it to get up to cruising altitude and the food to be served before I have a sugar crash, and you want HOW MUCH for this measly little wrap?") and seasoned with a kind of grudging admiration of the sheer audacity of vendors who demand the kind of prices you'd expect to pay in a three star restaurant, for food that comes in shrink wrap. But tonight, my shuttle driver let me in on a secret apparently known only to airport staff: if you resist the hustle to get you through security right away and go down to the arrivals level, there's a 7-11 near the "A" door, where you can get food (granted, not exactly haute cuisine, but then neither is the stuff that they hold you up for past security, despite their pretensions otherwise) for a lot less money than the flock of vultures past security will demand. So now I'm a happy camper. Flying through Pearson is going to be a ton cheaper from now on.

Try to nab a window view table to really enjoy the environment. Their eggs benny are always consistent and sometimes they have weekend specials that are also a hit!
