The cafe itself has very cute decorations and a separate room for hanging out and chatting over coffee and it was really cool. However, the coffee itself was quite flavorless. It was a watery latte and I couldn't taste the cold foam at all. No notes of red velvet cake to be found, sadly. It was absurdly good! Soft. With a crispy creme brûlée crust. We also shared an order of potatoes that I'm unsure if they were actually made in house. But. They were very tasty all the same. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere stood out right away. It's warm, inviting, and has that perfect balance of cozy and thoughtfully curated. You can tell a lot of intention went into creating the space--it just feels good to be there. The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and clearly made with quality ingredients. You can tell this isn't just thrown together--it's food made with care. What really made the experience, though, was the service. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. That kind of hospitality is hard to find and makes a huge difference. Overall, this place exceeded expectations in every category--food, service, and atmosphere. To be honest, Talk N Coffee is traditionally something I would've been uninterested. However. On my first visit today, I was supremely impressed. The owner and roaster was extremely friendly and was more then happy to answer my weird questions and riff on grinders (he had just gotten a new one). He demonstrated excellent knowledge and passion. I selected something I traditionally wouldn't, the Fire Cracker coffee, one flavored like a Rocket Pop, and I was supremely impressed. The flavors are clear, but don't overshadow the coffee. Beans are single dosed, which is EXTREMELY uncommon outside of metros, and each one is handled with immense care. And for regular coffee lovers, like my wife, who love their Dunkin or Starbucks, the flavors offer the full flavor without the sugar. A peanut butter cup cold brew with milk goes twice as far as a similar drink elsewhere in flavor with probably 5% the calories. Highly recommend, even for fellow snobs.

The funny part is that Death of the Fox was actually my third choice that night. Two of my other planned stops were supposedly open according to Google Maps, but reality had other ideas. By the time we finally arrived, I was tired, cold, hungry, thirsty, and more than a little cranky. No sign selfie. Survival mode had kicked in. The second we walked in, everything changed. A wonderful young man was working behind the bar. A lovely couple was hanging out and enjoying the evening. The atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed, and exactly what I needed after my unexpected detour. The beers have great names, so naturally we ordered a flight... and then a couple more. Every beer seemed better than the last. I just watched th e video from our visit. I have to say, I was absolutely fantastic in it. The camera loves me. Let's be honest--that's the real story here. A very pleasant place with a few seats and tables inside and plenty of outdoor seating. The menu included flavored lemonades which I thought was perfect for the warm weather.
