Nomad coffee is exactly what it should be for a small independent coffee stand. The Americano, latte, and drip are all well executed. I'm not a flavored coffee drinker, so I can't speak to those. The only downside I have ever experienced with Nomad is that given their small footprint and relatively low staff levels, you can experience a bit of a wait, especially if the orders in front of you are big or they are overly needy coffee orders.

The sausage patty was a little undone, and the bottom half of the burrito ended up a soggy mess. It was still a 3 out of 5 since I left full. The cinnamon roll I would avoid. It came out as a roll with icing..barely any cinnamon sugar in-between each layer. As my friend said while leaving this cafe, "it was the worst cinnamon roll of my life." I actually expected better browsing through their case of freshly baked goods, since the muffins and other offerings looked good. Maybe a little bit more of TLC with their burritos, but if you don't really mind about quality or good food, then I would pass. It seems to be a place that just uses majority Sysco/US Food products.

I thus proceeded my way to the store to try it out. And I didn't regret a bit. It was a slow high noon lunchtime for this quaint shop. When I stepped in there was only one person inside (and he soon left) so all of a sudden I had the whole place to myself! The lady upfront warmly received me with a nice smile. She let me take my time after I had said "I think I will need a minute." At this time, I was already impressed. Not only the kind welcoming greeting by the lady, the showcase to display all the baked goods to the adorable interior to the store merchandise to the selection of the gelato to the little refrigerator to hold prepackaged goods, this store was definitely way more than 3.5 stars. As I was browsing, the two salads in the mini (clear) refrigerator caught my attention so I inquired about them. Both the Chickpea and Roma Pasta Salads were only $6. I was like "Yup, I am getting them!" I definitely needed one (sweet) bakery item so I went with the Bread Pudding with Almond Cream Cheese. This place is not much of a tea place however. I thought I was going to get an iced tea or something but whereas they do have tea lattes they don't make simple teas (hot or cold) is what I heard from the lady. No worries on that. I hence went with a hot Americano. This ended up being the right choice as I would need something a bit stronger than a simple tea so I would be able to stay awake on the road to get back to Denver after the strenuous runs at Keystone resort. She did ask me if I wanted my bread pudding be warmed up to which I said yes. She then put everything in a brown bags and carefully placed a little container of half and half on top of everything which she warmed me about if tipped off it might spill a bit so she said to be careful. I certainly wasn't expecting this kind of above-and-beyond-ness; service here thus is top-notch. She saw me off with the same warm smile as I walked away from it. As soon as I back to my car, I started my little lunchtime. And I tell you, EVERYTHING i got today was more than satisfactory. Both salads were exceptionally made (I especially liked the Chickpea one.) The Bread Pudding had a nice texture with the perfect sweetness. And it was a good portion as well. My Americano was nice and steamy. And the side half and half she gave me was more than enough. This experience was way more than I had expected in so many different ways. So in conclusion, True Blue is very much under-appreciated. Hence, by writing this review, I am spreading the love I have for this store to the entire state of Colorado. People, go here if you are in Silverthorne/Dillon/Keystone area; this is a gem!

Even more telling, I was in this morning and heard them training a new team member. How they did it (thoughtfully and acknowledging it would take time as it was a lot to remember) and what they said (always greet customers, dealing with tricky situations) was really impressive and makes me happy to support them as a local business here in Summit county. We will be notified with a text when our table is ready. We were told 20 minutes. Tell me why it was an hour...still waiting, other groups with the same number of people as our group were seated before us and arrived after us. I went to the host stand to ask if we were up soon? Magically we're next and they pointed to a table that wasn't even clean that was ours. Waited a bit more. Table is clean but no one sat us? Waited about 10 more minutes waiting to be seated and finally we just sat down ourselves. A gentleman did come and apologize for the wait and brought a dessert for us to share. Thank you for the kindness and apology. Thinking this was the only hiccup. Nope. The family orders drinks and food at the same time. We're hungry and ready to go! Our group didn't get one drink until our food came 30 minutes later? Would have been nice to sip on our coffees and beverages while we waited for our food. Then the food came...what a disappointment. It may look lovely to the eyes but nothing was seasoned. It was sub par at best. We had planned to come the next morning while we waited the hour with all the selections we wanted to try. Not happening. I wished so much that the food and drinks were delish. Feels like if you're there since 1977 you can serve bland food and not care because you have legacy.
