It starts out with a small cocktail hour (no alcohol, other beverages and finger foods) in the clay studio gift shop. You get some time to look some cool stuff on display and can purchase them too! The actual pottery making was around 90mins, 60mins on the wheel and about 30mins to glaze the piece. There is one main instructor and a few assistant instructors that walk around and help you out. You watch a demo first and then get hands on at making your own bowl! The instructors are really patient and if you mess up, they'll hand you another ball of clay. I screwed up many of my pieces and got super embarrassed but they'd joke and make it fun. You get to pick 2 pieces to keep out of all the ones you make during the 60mins. I ended up with 2 small succulent pots, super excited to put my plants in! The glazing is pretty simple. There are a handful of basic colors to choose from and you just paint them on. Afterwards the studio will fire the pieces and then ship then to an address you designate. We got ours a little earlier than 2weeks so it was a nice surprise! I would definitely go to another session again and may even commit to the longer semester classes...just need to free up time . If you're considering this, definitely do it!

Museum of Illusions - Philadelphia We visited today at the…read more10:00 AM time slot with our family of four (my wife, myself, and our two 13-year-old boys). Overall, the experience felt underwhelming for the price, but here's a fair breakdown. Pros: There were some genuinely cool illusions. A few brought back memories of things I remember seeing as a kid, while others were new to me. The exhibits cover a variety of illusion types, and most have simple explanations that make it easy to understand how they work. If you enjoy optical tricks and brain teasers, there are definitely a few moments that make you stop and think. Cons: The biggest issue was the size and crowding. The museum is very small, and when we visited it felt packed--almost elbow to elbow. I'm not upset that a lot of people want to visit, but the whole point of reserving a timed entry is usually to control crowd size. Instead, it felt like there were around 60-70 people squeezed into a pretty small area, even at the 10 AM entry time. Because of that, we had to wait for most of the exhibits, and it was common for kids to jump in front while people were trying to take photos or try the illusions. Despite all the waiting and congestion, our family still managed to see and do everything in about 30 minutes. That really shows how small the space is--even with the crowd slowing us down, we still finished the entire place very quickly. I think the experience could be much better if they limited the number of people per time slot, so visitors actually had space to enjoy the exhibits. For the price--over $100 for our family--it just didn't feel like a good value. If tickets were closer to half that price, it might feel more reasonable. As it stands, it's a short and crowded experience for what you pay. Summary: I can see this being fun for some people--especially if you get a group discount, have younger kids who want quick photo opportunities, or just need something short to fill a little time. It can also be fun if you're feeling nostalgic and want to revisit some classic optical illusions. But if you're deciding between this and other things to do in Philly--like a 90-minute bus tour or another attraction--you'll likely get more time, more space, and better value elsewhere.

I've seen paint parties at restaurants before, but they always look rushed and stressed out. Grapevine came and set up in my friends place, bringing everything we needed for a great party at our own pace, in the comfort of the home! . Grapevine will set up in an office, church, VFW Hall, wherever the party is. And Heather was great at it! . I can't wait to do it again!

Joy guided us through the process and encouraged us to be unique and go with the flow. The materials she had were fun and unique. I Contacted Joy to see if she could do a project kit for my daughter's 10th birthday. She was able to put something together, on short notice, that was truly memorable. The color cell project was self directed and allowed the girls to explore their creativity. These girls sat side-by-side and marveled at each other's creations. It was an excellent way to entertain and give them something to take home.

When you walk in, there's a reception area and small retail outlet. If you don't want to craft your own, you can purchase. There were some Halloween decor. There's also some jewelry and other things. Large doors open onto the street. A basement is also a workspace that would be great for a private party. It's a large L-shape room with room for working on crafts and space to set up food and drinks. The staff were friendly and really helpful with the wood crafts.
