You even have to pay to use the coffee machine (it was free at first, then they changed it) The location is nice so that's what you're paying for. The construction of the apartments is cheap and thrown together. The parking is the WORST. They only have parking for maybe 30% of the residents, then you're on your own. It's a rat race to try and get parking first. I routinely have to walk BLOCKS in the middle of winter. And don't think you can park in a non designated spot for even a few hours, because my husband and I both had our cars TOWED overnight and had no way to get to work in the morning. Would definitely look into other options besides here, so not worth it.

If the review were solely based on her conduct and respect towards me, she would've yielded a full 5 stars. Plow driver guy needs to be aware of his surroundings and property owners need to remember that he is a liability that could result in an incredibly expensive lawsuit, not to mention the potential for extreme injuries due to his idiocy.

The hallways can be noisy, but I never heard much noise from neighboring apartments, walls seemed thick enough. Excellent location, easy access to downtown, the highway and shopping easy walk to sculpture garden and a coffee shop. I was traveling for a number of months and management was kind enough to collect my mail and put it in my apartment. Definitely on the expensive side for Des Moines, but I felt I got what I paid for. Easily recommend it, especially if you are moving in from out of town looking for a good locale.
