It's easy to find just off Dixie hwy and centennial ave. by US Cavalry and across from the new gas station. Three sewer workers and a police man was overcome by dangerous sewer gas. The marker is in excellent condition and is on two sides. On the first side, it reads "New Albany lots were advertised for sale 1813. It was designated county seat 1819, incorporated as town 1836, then as city 1839. Area within the district was part of early plat of New Albany. District boundaries are roughly West 1st to East 5th streets and East Spring to East and West Main streets." On the second side, "District reflects the historical development and commercial growth of New Albany. It contains a collection of outstanding examples of nineteenth and twentieth century commercial and institutional buildings and a few domestic structures. 3 moose rack sculpture is a fun public art sculpture and dual purpose bike rack that sits in…read moredowntown Lousiville just off of east Main Street. Kinda gives off the old animal figurines with the heat no evil, see no evil and speak no evil poses. somehow I just recently discovered that back in 2008/2009 the city of Louisville hired multiple sculptors or artists for what they called the bike rack program. With the goal of making unique and artistic bike racks and spread them throughout the city of Louisville. These 3 posing moose is one of those 20 plus bike racks created for the initiative. Overall pretty neat find and lead me to discovering the bike rack project. So now I have my eye out for fun little sculptures and will have to look at then placard on the ground to see if they are apart of the bike rack series here in Lousiville.

Abraham's father, Thomas Lincoln, was 8 years old at the time. This is a small but interesting cemetery that is also the resting place of early pioneers and revolutionary war veterans. Apparently, Abraham Lincoln's family back in 1740s and so was spelled Linkhorn and not Lincoln which I found interesting. It was easy to locate with my Google Maps app for driving.
