I am such a foodie and this is perfect for my palate and my appetite. The people who serve the food are super sweet and really genuine and the quality is amazing and they are really caring. With food, there's usually about 8 trucks or so scattered around, with everything from pizza, tacos, and reuben sandwiches to cupcakes and other sweets. Plus, you can take advantage of the businesses in the cottages for sweet ice cream, peanut brittle, and snowballs (which were my personal favorite). Remember to bring a camp chair or blanket, as there is no seating available. Also, if you want, you can bring beer or wine. Finally, you could end up having to park all the way down the street, so you may want to arrive early just in case.

Parking is a pain typically with any event at Lake Ella. There were 7 food trucks out there this time, which includes Lucy & Leo's cupcakes in an adorable vintage style camper. I bought food from El Criollo and Street Chefs. Friends bought food from Valhalla and Fired Up Pizza. Overall, if the weather is good, this is a relaxing way to spend an evening out.

Located at the corner of Thomasville Rd and East 7th Avenue at the convenience store near Midtown Caboose. We stopped by for a quick afternoon snack, and our tacos were absolutely stacked! We ordered one taco each, and they were loaded all the way up! The service was top notch and they offer cute little outdoor shaded picnic tables so you can save your vehicle upholstery from wearing your meal. Be sure to get them "con todo" with cheese, sour cream, cilantro, onion, street corn, and guacamole salsa. These tacos were a perfect balance of spicy heat and cool freshness. My taco meal came with chips and salsa but the salsa appeared to be premade from a jar like Tostitos Chunky Salsa. While I'm glad I gave it a try and respect the effort, the inability to modify orders and the extended wait time make it hard to justify a return visit, especially if you're on lunchtime and have a time constraint.

The mac and cheese had the right amount of sauce and totally delicious. And the price was totally reasonable, even below average for a food truck. My husband actually ended up ordering the same foods (pulled chicken, mac n cheese, backed beans) from another nearby food truck, so we got to have a good comparison. I had to wait longer for my food, but it was 100% worth it. Every aspect of the meal was better. I noticed that Off the Chain didn't have a Yelp page of their own, but I went ahead and made one, because the Yelp world was just missing out on good BBQ...
