The sidewalk was supposed to have been 36" wide. It is 33" at one end and 31.5" at the other end. The porch has standing water on it when it rains. It is only about 3 weeks old and already has a crack in it and is chipping in several places. The porch is not even level. I received a text that said he would be back to finish when the rain let up. He never showed up. I contacted 3 other concrete companies to see about getting the porch fixed. Each of them said the way it has been done that the grade is not right and the only way to insure that the water will not cause damage to the foundation is to have it tore out and repoured. They said they might could try something else since I am already out so much money but, they said they did not think it would hold up and they could not guarentee that it would work. He told us he had been doing concrete for 20yrs. Yes his price sounded good to start with but was not good in the end. Had to buy rock for 143.00 that was never mentioned. The georgia buggy was 50.00 more than he quoated. He did not even have a way to get the gerogia buggy to my home. He actually wanted us to use our truck and trailer to go pick it up ourselves. After that didn't work out he had the nerve to want me to pay to rent a trailer to get it. I thought if you were a professional you would have your own equipment or at least a way to get it. I Have had 3 professionals look at the job he did and all of them could not believe the way he did it. ( and suggested I take him to court). This is only a portion of my complaints with the work that was done. I have attached pictures so you can see for yourself. Take my advice. Pay a little more and get the job done correctly by a professional. For the price I am going to have to pay to fix this mess plus what I paid him I could have hired someone who actually done the job right and I would not have had all this added stress. Never took responsibility for anything that went wrong.
