I know its' a taxi and not a limo service but it was pretty run down and dirty, even more than your average taxi so it wasn't really a pleasant experience. But first, I called to assure that the offer would be valid for trip from my town. I suspected he may be shady when he offered the same price if I paid him directly and not purchase vouchers from Amazon Local. He called earlier today to confirm pick up, and to try to sell me multiple "vouchers" for future car rides. I informed him that at this time I was only interested in pick ups to and from airport. In addition, he confirmed that he would honor the advertised price of $42. Then he texted me about five hours before pick up stating that he did not find my voucher. When I called to remind him about our agreement, he informed me that each ride would be $75. At this point I realized Pearl Car Service in Fort Lee is a scam. He quotes one price, waits till the last minute, then increases his price knowing full well that for most, it's difficult to make last minutes arrangements. Douglas is an opportunist. Bait and switch is a game I'm not willing to play. Funny, but I was planning on tipping him about $30 each way. Lost opportunity, lost income, no credibility. In addition, my referral network will place his company on our "Do not engage" list. Don't do business with this unscrupulous car service.

Muhammad's response appears to indicate that the companies that gave me price quotes were somehow inferior. Precision has been in business 18 years, and the company I went with has been in business longer. Precision's price quote was much higher than the competition and was for a Cadillac or Volvo sedan, not the beautiful new black SUV that picked up my girlfriend. Lastly, the professional chauffer that was our driver, was impeccably dressed in a black suit and tie. Our driver had over 30 years experience as a licensed, professional chauffer. The guy who picks up the phone to make the reservations (also the dispatcher I believe) is always very friendly and follows up if he needs more info or if they need to change the pick up time (only happened once and it was a 15-min change). Every driver we have had has been really friendly (even at 4am!) and prompt. Even in the most frustrating 5pm pick-up at LGA, they are friendly and professional. I highly recommend for great customer service and reasonable prices. I like the peace of mind knowing they will pick me up and I don't have to worry about the uncertainty of Uber.
