On Dec 28th I met with friends in Tappan for drinks. After a few too many we called to get a cab to bring us home. The next day I realized I didn't have my wallet. I called and they didn't have anything turned in. So, I called back after new year's, knowing it HAD to be there. I left my name and number, they said they would call back. They didn't. I just called one last time, and they said they found it!!!!! They said the guy who had it didn't want to leave it there because it still has the cash in it, & they lost the paper they wrote my number on. I can get it from him tonight after 7! I asked the dispatcher if she had any Cabs available. She then proceeded to list numbers 7,3,7... then I realized she was giving me a number for a different branch or something. As soon as she was done saying the number she just hung up. It was ridiculously rude. She just starts telling me a phone number and hangs up immediately afterward without explaining or even making sure I got the number. So I called back and said, "Sorry could you repeat that number? I missed it because you just kinda hung up on me." She then, in the most aggressively annoyed tone, started shouting numbers at me. So I did what was most fitting. I hung up. Terrible service. Doesn't deserve customers if they're going to treat them like jerks because they need a cab. read more

I orderd a suv car to pick us up at my house to jfk airport for a morning flight I waited for 10 min to pass on the time he was supposed to be there and then called, a person answered and told me he was the driver but he fell asleep doing worry I'll be the in twenty minutes I waited and he called me back in ten minutes and said he had a flat tire I hung up on him , so I never got a ride, I drove my self I will never use this service again what a waste of time and stress. A few months ago, I was in need of a car service for two days after my grandmother unexpectedly passed away and I didn't have any way of transporting myself to her services (my car was in the shop and a bunch of other external factors were not in my favor). My father called A1A as they're located relatively close - about a ten-minute drive - from the funeral home, and so a car could easily pick my brothers and me up and bring us there. My first interaction with the car service was actually pretty positive. We were running on a tight schedule, and the driver arrived right on time. He was pleasant and didn't try to make too much conversation - he just confirmed our destination with us as we departed; I think he could tell we weren't exactly in the mood for small talk, given our attire and the somber expression on our faces. Anyway, we arrived and as we were getting out of the car, the driver asked us about payment. The company knew that we had paid ahead of time since this was a two-day commitment, but either he forgot, the car service didn't relay this information to him, or he was looking for some additional tip money. Regardless of the reason, I found this extremely rude; just because it may be the "time" to inquire about payment doesn't mean that it's the right "place" to do so. I explained the pre-paid situation and he nodded and told us to call when we needed to be picked up. As the wake was coming to a close, my father suggested that I call A1A to ensure they would have a car waiting to drive us to the funeral the following day. I'm glad I did, because the guy on the phone had absolutely no idea what I was talking about until he put me on hold for a few minutes while he conversed with another employee. Finally, we were able to confirm the initial agreement, and also verified that someone would be bringing us home that night. The following morning, I found myself needing to clarify once again that we were headed to the church. I initially asked just to make casual conversation, but the driver nearly brought us back to the funeral home, making me very glad that I'd inquired about the address he plugged into his GPS. Keep in mind that my review is not a criticism of the car service's actual ability to get us to our destination safely. In that respect, A1A Hackensack 24/7 Taxi Car & Limousine is a refreshing surprise, as someone who's accustomed to the dangerous practices of cab drivers in New York City and Philadelphia. But as far as the company's organization and reliability is concerned, it's enough to dissuade me from using their service again, unless I really don't have a choice in the matter. read more

Making the reservation was a breeze. They anticipated our needs and had the right vehicle ready. We traveled in style in a Mercedes-Benz R-Class to Port Liberty. The driver was on time, professional and very pleasant. Payment was super easy as well with automatic percentage tipping already calculated and offered on payment screen. Service canceled based on weather. Weather = 3 inches of snow. Found out upon landing after 5+ hour flight. For a company with a "fleet" of SUVs and premium AWD vehicles this is a joke. I don't use Limo Express often, but since 2007 I've used them six times. I like that I can book online and that the billing is transparent. I find the office staff and drivers to be exceptional. All six times I used them was to transport loved ones to and from the airport, and the drivers always were so helpful with all the heavy luggage. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Yes most cars are old however, I have used them several times to take me from Pearl River to Atlantic City bus stop in Nanuet and they have always been prompt and get me there in plenty of time. The drivers have all been friendly and have also used them on occasion when I have had a few too many to drive myself home and they even stopped and let me pick up food to go at various places. I booked Limo Express for a few friends and I to a wedding to NJ. The drivers were polite, punctual, and the ride was great. However, the billing department stuck me with $100+ dollars in waiting time fees that no one let me know about ahead of time. Supposedly they were written somewhere in my confirmation, but the drivers never mentioned it either, instead giving me an "authorization document" in the dark at 11:30PM at the end of the wedding. I understand the need to pay for waiting time, but let people know in advance. They agreed to knock off a couple of dollars but it still left an otherwise pleasant experience with a very sour taste in my mouth. read more

I was planning a special surprise bday dinner and thought it would be great to have limo service for our special night. Everyone that works there was always friendly and very helpful over the phone for the booking. They explained to me in detail about the price and the time the limo driver would be there.
