they keep missing my trash, its starting to feel intentional. the girl/lady on the phone is extremely rude, we got in a shouting match over the fact of when i put my trash out. then when i request an extra pick-up, i have to pay for it out of my pocket. it either that or let the neighborhood animals destroy my trash until next week when i pray and cross my fingers that my trash gets seen. *edit* I received a call this morning from a-affordable, and the receptionist was extremely nice this time, making the effort to have a truck pick up the trash that was missed. A-Affordable is more reliable, brings the cans up to the garage, and the one time I forgot to put them out they came up and checked then dumped it- can't beat that service, In all my 16 years of adulting, I've never had a better trash service! read more

We had a signed contract clearly indicating "Alley". They dropped off the new bin a week before pickup, so far so good. Pickup day comes, they don't take the trash, don't contact us. We call, they claim the alley is 'overgrown' (but they had no problems with that when they dropped it off?) and claim that they can't do alley pickup (I've seen them use our alley for years) and that we would have to pay $15 to have them come back to get it from the front. I send them pictures of the alleyway - it is not overgrown in the least. They then claim that they can't back into that alley - I say "I've been watching your trucks for several years", then they claim that the City "defines" alleys as 'between two roads' and ours is a 'T' so, it's not an alleyway. I remind them that we have a contract, they claim that it is an "agreement, not a contract" - I remind them that there was an offer of service, and we paid in full, this being the definition of a contract. Excuse after excuse, finally I decided to cancel and they claim that they will refund the whole amount (paid in full for six months), and come get the can on Monday (today is Friday). Simply put, if I have ONE more issue with them, it will become worth the hassle of small-claims court. Yes - I will sue you over this crap. I was a loyal customer for 25 years. I stayed because I thought they were a good reliable company. I called them recently and was treated very rudely. I was not treated like a valued customer. I had some financial issues recently, and my service was stopped. I was going to reactivate my service, but they wanted to charge me for the two weeks that I did not have service. I explained that my son had took my trash for me because he had to go to the dump, but they would not take off anything off the bill , What cannot even Can I a dollar or even try to help me. The lady was very rude to me and didn't even care if I canceled .When a customer is late, they charge late fees, but if you ask for any adjustmentshe wouldnt budge. I was never treated so rudely before in my life. We have used a few trash companies here in Pueblo. A-Affordable is reasonably priced compared to the competitors and the drivers have always been super nice for the last 10+ years. They return my trash cans to the side of the house and will even take some extras outside of the main trash can (within reason). They are my go to for a trash company hands down. read more

I have called so many times to get this issue resolved...I ask them not to leave my trash can in the drive way but they do it 80% of the time. Every time I call she says she will let the drivers know to put it back where it goes but they just keep doing it. It's nice that they bring it back up the drive way but it defeats the purpose when I still have to get out and move it every time. read more

I have been using this company for years. My account was in good standing. No outstanding payments or late fees. They cancelled my service without letting me know. When I called to find out why they had not picked up trash for last two weeks, was told it was for what I apparently said to the owner. I called to apologize for what I said. They said they would refund my balance within 30 days. They kept more than 3/4 of my payment and have NOT refunded my money. I attempted to start service again and instead of being told no, I was told to wait and that my money would not be refunded. Be aware. I spoke with Jackie, not a very nice person. A-Affordable Disposal is a company you should steer clear of if you would like to avoid the following: 1.) Customer service managed by an individual who will laugh if a customer reports her team's failure to communicate important information or send out quarterly statements/notices in a timely manner. I was expressing a failure on the part of her team, because I would have immediately paid any statements actually received at my address. Instead of considering potential legitimacy to what I had to say, the office manager accused me of lying, and retorted in a very childish manner. She turned the blame towards the customer and even lectured, "You should pay your bills on time." Thanks so much for your useful and constructive input, I've never before had an issue making payments on time and have been able to rely on timely statements from EVERY other company to keep me on track; tying nicely into the second point below. 2.) Discontinuation of service before quarterly statement received. With the existing clutter/seizure-inducing mess that is my calendar, I rely on statements being sent in a timely manner form service/utility companies in order to stay organized and on top of the chaos. Despite the fact this is a convenience all consumers should expect with the services they pay for, the office manager failed yet again. She was in complete disbelief that my most recent statement might not have been sent out in time or at all by her employees, again implying that I was lying to get out of paying $30.00 instead of even considering legitimacy to my complaint. One of their employees failed to get mail out on time, or out at all, I don't have issues receiving statements from any of the other utility/service companies, but the office manager once again preferred to blame the customer and the USPS (for failure to deliver multiple statements/notices). Because there's absolutely no possibility the A-Affordable team made any mistakes... 3.) A website lacking ambition or direction. Especially their mobile site - no obvious way to set up auto-pay or have notifications emailed to you electronically (which would have prevented this situation entirely). Customer convenience is as low of a priority as customer service to A-Affordable disposal. 4.) A trash company that refuses to pick up items MANY trash companies will pick up. Not to mention the occasions which they failed to pick up altogether. I have been with C&C Disposal ever since and have not experienced any issues. They were the cheapest trash service and I called them all. I am very forgetful and they were nice enough to walk up and grab my trash 3 times in a row that I forgot. Also I like that they put my trash back up when they are done... Also around Christmas and my kids birthdays they were nice and took the extra stuff. I tipped them on Christmas and they were shocked lol and very thankful. People tip your mail men and trash people on holidays if you can afford to do it.. I did have a few questions and went on their website and I do think it needs more information, like a list of questions usually asked and answers. I used to think pretty good of these people. I'm disabled and I used them for over 8 years. I moved over 5 months ago and I thought because they were paid in full and pulled their trash can service TWO WEEKS EARLY THAT WAS THE END OF IT! Well even though I had called the office spoke with the office staff was assured they would bring the van back (and didn't) I used my kind neighbors trash cans for two weeks and what was not capable of being thrown away was taken to the dump! Well just today I received a invoice from a collection service! Of all the nerve!! I paid these people in advance and on time for eight years! And this is the thank you??! And I didn't even get the last two weeks of service that I paid for but because I had other things to deal with like a place to move in 15 days! It was the lowest thing on my priority list! But now, I'm mad!!! These people who were great at beginning bringing my can to the garage because I am disabled stopped doing that left it curbside and during a snowstorm I broke my foot trying to recover it from where they left it but once but 3 times!! Did I make a huge deal no I just kindly asked for them to leave it near my garage door. Now they want me to pay them 54.59 for the cost of their collection company and the cost of services NEVER RECEIVED!!! so I guess what I'm saying is beware of this company they not only take your money then they say they didn't! The owner Jackie is a real piece of work , I called to let them know they need to credit my account for extra trash pick up bc their drivers keep driving past my can on random weeks and then the following week I have to put out extra bags. I was ready to pay my bill and when she said she didn't want to hear me complaining all she did was reenforce their shitty work ethic. They hire mediocre people to work for them but then the customer has to eat $$ bc their employees make regular mistakes . Well guess what toots you're not the only trash removal company in Pueblo your competition is cheaper and better equipped to do the job u clearly can't handle. It all makes since now why you own a trash company , because you yourself are trash and right at home. I'll be sending a complaint to the Pueblo Dept of commerce as well . I am confused about the different ratings this business receives. Either it is five star or one. I personally recommend them to everyone. They are reliable, kind, considerate and friendly in all my dealings with them. At times they have even collected my trash from my garage door when I have gone several weeks without putting it by the curb. They now know that it could take several weeks for me to fill it up. I tried several services when we first moved to Pueblo but once I found A-Affordable, I stopped looking. And I really like the recycling program they have set up. read more

My husband was putting the trash on the curb, he had one bag to go while they were picking up the neighbors, they drove on and told him "see ya buddy" went down to the culdasac turned around and waved.. I called immediately to complain they called the driver and said the trash wasn't out so they would come back for a $10 fee! Jackie could care less about the way we were treated, asked for a manager to call me apparently the manager could care less... These people could care less about you and your trash, all they want is your money! I have had A-Affordable as my residential waste pickup service in Pueblo, CO, for six months. In this short time, they opened up two accounts in my name (I am only one person with one service), they have not picked up my trash two times even though I put the trash in the designated area the night before and that I was out in my yard by five A.M. and that I had witnesses. Yet, I was in fault: the driver noted that the trash wasn't out. IT WAS and I want to know where he was--never saw him! Additionally I was double billed for the two accounts, which they never caught. I had to call them about this grievous mistake. Actually, I called the first week of service to say that my trash hadn't been picked up. Jackie, one of the owners and the person who answered the phone, told me that she would drop me- I could find another provider. She had no interest in fixing the situation! This kind of ill-treatment toward a customer is a telling attitude: we aren't going to do our best to serve you; we'll just drop you! So today six months into having this company as my waste-service provider I called to say my trash hadn't been picked up for the second time. The customer representative said: "We ALWAYS have negative customers call in to complain!" Personally, I don't think a customer who calls in to say the trash hasn't been picked up is negative; that person is simply communicating the business contract has not been honored. I feel the negativity, to use the representatives choice of words, is on the business' part for not providing the best customer service and by not treating their customers well.
