I was nervous, because I haven't had my hair cut in 3 years and the last time I trusted someone they cut my hair into chunks. I have long (lower back level), wave-like, curly hair but it's chooses its exact personality. The top likes to curl "Susie-Q" curls (ringlets if you will). While the bottom likes to go straight and the middle is somewhere between. Natalie became one with my hair. At one point she dropped to a knee to get to the bottom of the beast. All the while asking me "how much do YOU want off" and "how would YOU like your hair" and "where does YOUR hair part." Between my direction and the beast curls she gave me a BEAUTIFUL cut. The layers are so strategically placed that they even out my total curl. She did not cut more than I wanted. Then she gave me a blowout. Never had one of those but my hair looks AMAZING. Can I just not wash it forever to keep it like this?? I kid. Beyond the amazing cut the salon was clean, the other staff & owner greeted me, they use heavenly smelling Bumble & Bumble products. Long hideous story short... a woman at a salon near my home in Denver, CO absolutely stripped, bleached and RUINED my hair. I had to cut off 7 inches. Cynthia worked on my hair for hours and the whole process of cleaning up my mop took a total of 2 days, but she didn't mind. She was more concerned with making sure I was happy with my hair color and moved extensions. Cynthia is also very careful and clean. I felt totally comfortable with Cynthia during the Covid 19 pandemic. She took my temperature saw me by myself. The best part of the experience, Cynthia has a real talent for creative styles and colors! You can go casual or funky! I love that about her! I found it was immediatly apparent that she had quite a bit of experience and confidence, without being arrogant or pushy. Very Professional, very friendly and her salon was immaculate. Update: the appointment itself was completely unprofessional, I did reach out to sherry personally…read moreto receive no response, and again just excuses instead of just admitting they we were unprofessional, didn't let me cancel an appointment after inconveniencing me without charging a $20 no show fee when I was at the wrong location down the street and proceeding to make the service the following day tense and bizarre while still not acknowledging the core issues that created this review in the first place. The comment now states that I didn't reach out to her privately. Here is what I messaged the owner on my experience: When someone is getting a Brazilian done, it shouldn't be even remotely uncomfortable or awkward. She did the job, but was so silent to the point she didn't give me professional cues like when she was going to pull in more delicate regions. I had to ask for that and at the end she was incredibly awkward and unable to maintain a professional demeanor in my honest opinion and I even told her if it was going to be this uncomfortable I wish that the $20 was just refunded. I still tipped her and I just don't tolerate that extreme of pretending when clearly things aren't ok obvious by her body language. Apple Maps still shows your old location and the way I was treated on the phone was really odd when I was trying to get clarity. She kept repeating the policy and a no show policy is not applicable to someone down the street at your old location because their maps took them there. She also tried to say it was 13 min past when I started texting and calling under the 10 min mark. She also didn't take me back into my appointment for 5 min so the congruency of policy was contradicting in of itself. When I got there, I was met with a bunch of deflections to Apple Maps and the girl at the front desk admitting this happens often and that at the same time she canceled my appointment, she had cancelled another person too. I was mind blown at the lack of regard for time and energy and money I lose out on by having to re-book and re-schedule when I showed up to my appointment and was right there. If something is a continuous problem, it needs to be fixed. I would think not only is this costly for customers like myself but for you too if your front desk is cancelling appointments that quickly and that often. I shouldn't have to fight for basic professionalism and fair policies. Original: They had moved locations to an address right down the road and didn't have it listed or any notification to clarify this was the case. On top of that, Their apple maps had their old address to make arriving all the more confusing. I was texting the number and eventually when I called about 10 min later, they said yes they had moved, that they will still charge me a no-show because it was too late to come to my appointment even though I was already there. I let her know I've been trying to text and call and that I have them on my phone and had to argue to the point it pissed me off and she said the best she could do was put it towards another appointment and that her system wouldn't let her cancel or refund a 20.00 charge. She was also giving me attitude and I finally had to say I'm really not asking for anything unreasonable and she kept rudely repeating there was nothing she could do. I truly just want a refund and to not be spoken to in a rude manner when I'm just trying to get clarity and make it to my appointment. When there are small mix ups like that I would expect some benefit of the doubt and not to be told there's nothing they can do when I made every effort to be there. That's nonsense and unprofessional. Don't penalize your customers and give them attitude when you aren't on top of your map updates and consistent information.
