Worst haircut ever. Asked to keep it long bc I was growing it out &trim the layers &ended up with basically bob cut with a few wisps of long hair left underneath. (I have very thick hair/a lot of it so this should not be the case). No layers in between. long layer is like 4x as much hair on one side vs other when split down middle. Several inches longer on one side Vs the other. Doesn't lay nice. Went to see if manager could help me fix it b4 vacation and she just insisted it's normal with layers. Always had layers. This is not normal! So definitely could not trust her to help fix it. Now have to cut short to fix. So much for growing it out. :( also make sure you are not charged twice if you pay cash while you're there as they make you leave your card info and deposit when you book and I had to call and get my money back. read more

I really hate to write this review but here we are! This was a nightmare having to deal with this salon and the stylist who messed up my hair. Red Flag #1 My appointment was booked at 10am 2 weeks prior to my appointment which asked for a $50.00 deposit. The same day of my appointment at 7:30am the stylist messaged me asking to change the time to 11am. I agreed, then I was contacted again by the stylist at 8:08am and asked me to go in at 11:30am. I arrived at the salon at 11:30am and the stylist did not show up to my hair appointment until 12pm! Red Flag #2 This stylist, Deseray Martinez had me in her chair from 12:00pm- 7:30pm. After the foils were put in my hair and it was time to rinse she took me over to the rinsing station and soon had to move me because the sink was getting clogged, instead of moving me over to another sink/ rinsing station she took me back to her chair and started blow drying my hair since another stylist needed to rinse a clients hair, and remember she was blow drying my hair without putting the toner in my hair. I remember her asking if I ever had it done that way and I replied no. Finally after sitting there for 7 1/2 hours I was ready to pay and she gave me a total of $400.00 that I still owed her. I was in shock but I continued to pay via Venmo because I was in a hurry and I had to pick up my son from basketball practice. Let's not forget I gave this lady a $70.00 tip! I messaged soon after my appointment and let her know after really looking at my hair and styling it myself I could see some discoloration and I was not happy. I was kind and understanding but the stylist refused to be professional. I would message her and she would take forever to reply back to set up a time to fix this. I expected her to be on top of this since I have a job in a profession where I do have to see people and can't be looking like this. I drove 45 minutes to this salon to hope she would be there so I can get her to look at my hair. I showed up to the salon and I spoke with her and she didn't like what I was telling her in front of other coworkers and a client and she tried to blame me and say '' Well what products are you putting in your hair''? The stylist also accused me of coming on a little too strong?, which was totally far from the truth. I am sure there is cameras in there and can see that I tried to talk to her and she just dismissed what I had to say and told me to come back the next day at 10am. I decided not to go because she is very inexperienced and not professional! I left and immediately called the owner of the salon and she told me there is nothing she can do as a owner because the stylist is a sole contractor and does not have a boss. I explained to the owner my concerns and pleaded for a refund or even partial, the owner advised that she would talk to her and call me back. Funny thing when I spoke with the owner and I explained about the stylist being late and changing my appointment multiple times, the owner says '' WE HAVE ALREADY TALKED TO HER ABOUT THIS'' ?? Anyhow, I never received a call back regarding that refund request but the owner did offer to fix my hair. After waiting for a reply I just sent a message to forget everything and I would figure it out. At this point I declined the owner to fix my hair because I don't want to miss anymore work and also do not need my hair to be more messed up then what it already is. I tried to reach out to Deseray that night after speaking to the salon owner and I was blocked on Messenger! I also got a consult that from an experienced hair stylist and was advised she would have to charge me 160.00 to fix the issue. I tried to be understanding with Deseray Martinez and nice but at this point this is not okay!! I am very unhappy and extremely disappointed about this. A good stylist would make time to fix the issue, even if that means staying late or coming on time off. To block you and act like you're the problem is so unprofessional. She was dishonest about her skill level and did not know how to tackle this job. This $450.00 + $70 tip looks like! read more

If you want your hair, damaged and come out with a different haircut and color from what you requested than do not go here. How can someone was 15 years experience have a hard time fixing brassy hair? Many are disappointed and upset for paying so much for poor quality. Toner burned scalp, products damaged hair after going in twice to fix the color, the owner damaged my hair more. Almost seems intentionally!! Sadly ignores her clients after the damage is done. read more

WORST PLACE YOU CAN GO!!!!! I also went in, showed them what I wanted, they said they could do it. I wanted an ombré the girl literally did highlights on me!!! It was late, and her daughter was there, which is fine but kept complaining of being hungry. I had just had my baby and it was my first time away from him. I called the next morning explain she had not done what I wanted, owner was very rude and unprofessional. She didn't even have her license in a visible area. Until the end she mention she could fix it but in a negative way and said I would have to pay even more. I basically paid someone $200 to mess up my hair. This issue happened about a year ago, maybe by now she has educated herself and received the proper training. Save your hair and go somewhere else!! read more

I'm very pleased with the services rendered at A&A Beauty Bar. It feels like family to me. Everyone is kind and it's a kid friendly environment, so all ages are welcomed. I especially am fond of Ana Moreno because she is the stylist that does my hair. She's not afraid to give me a different style each time I go in for color at least every 3 weeks. It's affordable for the amount of times I go and I'm very grateful.....and if you ever find yourself waiting for any service doctor, dentist, orthodontist, auto etc just relax and count your many blessings in life. Very terrible work done here I showed them a picture of the hair I wanted and they did something completely different, and very ugly.
