I love coming here! I recently moved from Atlanta, where there's as many brow studios as there are Starbucks, but here, unfortunately that's not the case. I'm a huge stickler for getting my Brows and Lashes tinted regularly since I'm blue eyed and fair skin; both are barely visible and not a good look on me. However, I do want them to look as natural and full as possible without a lot of makeup or time spent trying "not to look like I just used a brow pencil or filler". Also, having them tinted allows me to get away with wearing less makeup. Bonus!! So when I found Bee Waxed Skin Care, I was excited. Carli is absolutely AMAZING! My aesthetician was beyond nice, which is why this is not a one star review. Maybe it is the hard style wax that I am not accustomed to, or perhaps she wasn't that good. Let's just say I have a lot of wax still 'up there' and it is very uncomfortable. She told me there will be a little bit and it will easily just come out. I have chunks of dried wax tangled in hair that was not properly removed. I am definitely going to have to pay another salon to remedy all the hair that still remains. I paid with a groupon so at least it wasn't super expensive, but not worth it if I have to pay for another Brazilian in a few days once my skin settles down and all the dried wax 'washes' away. read more

Ai yi yi was not uttered once. I'm a waxing virgin long past my prime but slow to get on the defuzz wagon. Today I took the plunge and Stephanie saved the day. No pain!! No more fuzz!! Soft skin!! And now I'm hooked. I went to Bee Waxed Skin Care Spa for the first time last week because I noticed the excellent reviews on yelp. They were right on! I had to sign up for Yelp just to write this review because this place is so awesome. I had a very stressful day at work and wanted to be pampered. I stopped by Bee Waxed on my way home from work just before Devon was leaving. She gladly stayed a little later to do my brows. At $18, I'd say that is the best brow wax I've ever had! Devon shaped my brows (I hadn't had them waxed in a long time) and offered advice for me next waxing appointment. She knows what she's doing! The ambience of the place is very relaxing and I enjoyed a complimentary glass of white wine while getting pampered. I scheduled my next appoint already. I highly recommend Bee Waxed! While I appreciate that everyone needs to kick off their career somewhere, I prefer not to be that somewhere. Apparently Groupon=Guinea Pig. I got the deal for three waxes and the first two were varying degrees of painful while the second girl was straight out of waxing class. I must point out, however, she is not the complaint. While the waxing itself was painful and a bit awkward at times, she was sweet and forthcoming with the fact that she was just starting. Perhaps, as an owner though, you decide that she needs to get a little more mileage on her belt "professionally" before they start throwing her in to the deep end that is a Brazilian. Aside from the experiences themselves being subpar the place is well kept and they provide you with all the pre-waxing goodies a gal could need in the bathroom. Cameron hacked way too much hair off of my eye brow during my wax. I've had Brazilians from this place before and they did a great job-- I'm just extremely upset that she over-trimmed my eyebrows. Her response was "it'll most likely grow back" after she initially tried to tell me that somehow it was my fault? They didn't charge me, which is great. However, I would recommend to this establishment that their staff be more careful. If she had paid attention and slowed down this would not have happened. I'm just disappointed. read more

I first tried Bee Waxed with a Groupon and I had a brow wax and tint. Carli was so friendly and did such a nice job that I went back today... for my first ever Brazilian. I won't lie and say it didn't hurt, but it was probably as pain-free as they come and Carli made it very quick and tried to distract me with interesting conversation. I have been going to the same lady at another salon for 10 years, but it is no longer convenient and progressively more difficult to schedule an appointment. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. Jenny rushed through the procedure even though I called an hour ahead of time to say that I would be 5 minutes late. She ripped off a quarter sized amount of skin during her brazillian wax procedure. I emailed to ask the best treatment for this (NEVER happened before). Two days later I received an email that they would get back to me and they never did. Jenny missed huge patches of hair (half dollar size and larger) and I had to pay for a second brzaillian wax at a reputable place to correct what was done, minus the raw quarter sized skin, which will proberly scar. Prices = great Customer Service & Attitude = not great. I'm all for not chit chatting through a waxing, but complete silence was just completely strange. Front desk lady didn't make me feel comfortable or welcome either. I didn't even use a Groupon, so why did I feel like a second class customer? This was my first visit, you would think they would be a little on the friendly side? My actual wax took all of under two minutes. Was I that little work, or did they just not take the time? I am new to the area and got online to find a place for a bikini wax. I had seen Bee's Wax at the Shops in Bee Caves so I decided to go. Convenient drive for me so I went to make appointment. I recognized the place was a little dark and and not so inviting. The gal was able to accommodate me right then. I also noticed the place looked a little dirty and the rooms were dark and a mess. I almost changed my mind but I stayed. I did not like my results and also the fee was very expensive. I would not recommend this place. I will investigate another place to go. read more

This was my first trip to this salon and based on the recommendations listed here on Yelp, I decided to venture out. Jenny was my esthetician. She was very friendly and professional, putting me at ease during the entire process. I received my first Brazilian. She offered me a glass of wine to help calm my nerves, and she talked to me during the entire process. I was reasonably embarrassed and modest, but Jenny made me feel completely comfortable throughout. As it was my first experience, I expected all hairs to be removed, but they weren't. Some still remained in various spots. She didn't use tweezers for any clean up or the remaining hairs. I will have to clean the rest on my own to achieve the complete look. I will go back as my experience overall was good. I figured if a few hairs were left after my first attempt, not so bad. read more

Unfortunately its so far out there i havent been back, but it was great when I went. I called around finding out what kind of waxes salons use, because i am allergic to some, and i just moved to austin. Cathy was so nice on the phone (compared to other salons who were quite rude) and at the time I was pretty close so I headed to the galleria to try out sugaring, which she recommended and made me an appointment for an hour after we spoke. I have been waxing brazilian style for about 8 months at this time. It was wonderful, the room smelled great, bob dylan and other light calming music was playing. The room was so personal and cozy I felt like a queen. The whole time of my wax she educated me on what kind of hair growth I had, on how to get rid of ingrown hairs naturally, and then she got rid of a lot of them for me painlessly with a sterile needle!!!!! I made an appointment by calling them. They booked me for a 11:45 appointment the next day. Later that day, I got an email saying they cancelled my appointment with no explanations. I sent them an email but they never replied. I was furious because I was having last minute pictures done the next day and needed my eyebrows to be waxed for them.
