I've been following this place a while on Facebook and couldn't wait for spring to hit so I could go and purchase some plants ! Boy did I ever find some plants oh my goodness gracious I got tomatoes and squash and zucchini eggplant, Rosemary, lavender, there are also tons more vegetables to choose from.. All of this staff that works here is very helpful. I filled up two carts full of vegetables and flowers they helped me to my car help me pack everything in very nice and sweet. Don't mind taking the extra drive out of town to find some really good deals. I saw a ton more stuff that I wanted to get for my yard but I could only fit two carts worth in my car LOL I'll be back soon can't wait!!! read more

We went there today to look at plants. We have never been before. Medium sized garden center with decorations and plants. Come to find out they are closing shop after 30+ years of serving the Montgomery and surrounding areas. They have close out prices to get through inventory. We were saddened to know today was the 1st day we discovered this wonderful place and know we may not be back to enjoy it before they are completely out of stock. read more

we are new to the area we have driven past this establishment multiple times thought it looked cool and interesting stopped by saturday 6/6/2 extremely disappointed in the customer service, unbelievably poor service! they had one other customer in the entire store that was checking out there were "4 green polo shirt " employees in the store.. none of the employees would even make eye contact, or asked me if i needed assistance? i was obviously searching/ looking both in the front of the store and in the back of the store we will never be back! no wonder ya'all have only 3.1 stars on yelp poorly run establishment read more

Doing our best to support our local businesses, but we've had it with this one. We've shopped at this location quite a few times, and if we ever have an encounter with Ken, the manager, it's NEVER pleasant. Tried giving him the benefit of the doubt, since we never know what anyone is going through, but you can not be a jerk EVERYTIME we go in there. OK, one bad day, but every time! We went to A & A Plants on Wednesday. Walked around to buy some plants, but I had left my 20% card off at home. Asked the very nice woman there if they would hold our plants and we'd be right back with our card. Came back to the store an hour later with the "receipts" from our purchase as we could not locate the punched card. Ken would not honor our proof of receipts - almost $300.00. And he was very rude about it! ENOUGH! For 20% off, they've lost us as customers and bad publicity. BTW - we were going to buy about $400 of plants. read more

Very helpful to select plants. Some things are pricey but most of it is affordable. Thinking of them to landscape my yard.

We had bought several plants with them from perennials to shrubs to a tree and 90% of them died and not because we didn't take care of them but was told that the dirt that they used was either infected with something or not good at all. We spent thousands of dollars with them to come and help us out on a new built to put new landscaping. They brought everything to us and planted everything. Just recently our magnolia tree died and those aren't cheap at all. The only reason I know their dirt isn't good at all is because we replaced some Holly's that we bought from Lowe's and same thing happened to them as the ones we bought from this place. I don't recommend this place at all. Run and give your business and money elsewhere. read more

We stopped in to A&A plants and produce today to take pictures with Santa. We came here specifically knowing that Santa would be here (found on the Facebook event page). They had a great set up for the kids, that included making ornaments, cookies, cider and balloons. The staff wasn't super accommodating to the people that were there first pictures with Santa, but luckily the line was fast and we were in and out within 10 minutes. read more

Place has wonderful plants that are beautiful just wish that their customer service was as equal to the beautiful plants, stood in line waiting to be rung up no one ever approached me to write up my ticket yet someone else waltz's up to the counter and the ring her up immediately very very poor customer service. We have shopped with A&A for years. Family owned since the 1980s and I always find unique plants here that I can't find anywhere else. The staff, especially Ken, are very helpful and really know their plants. I will never shop Houston Plants & Garden Centers again. The last time I was there not one person in the entire place spoke English. Home Depot & Lowe's staff don't know anything. You won't be disappointed supporting this family owned business. They even have a frequent customer card that gives you an extra 20% off your purchases. read more

I've purchased from here multiple times and never have any of the plants lasted. We are able to maintain thriving plants from other nurseries once planted in our yard and I always want to give them another chance because of their selection and because they are near our house. This last month I purchased 7 vines, 3 different types and NONE of them survived. Not only that but I purchased a large metal sunflower for $80 that broke the moment I placed it in our yard. I brought the sunflower back with receipt and they wouldn't give a refund. Very disappointing, we will never be back and warn others about throwing your money away here. read more
