I've never tried storing/moving furniture with Guys and Dollies so I can't say much about that. However when it comes to smaller items such as their signature boxes, luggage and small appliances (microwaves, mini fridges, etc), I've never encountered a problem. They pick up from your house whether yozu're at the dorms or off campus and drop off wherever you want too. They will give you as many boxes as you may need (and take back unused boxes) and other supplies like tape and labels. A friend of mine used their services to ship her things to New York and had no complaints. Guys and Dollies is flexible with pick up and drop off times and can even do same day appointments for the most part. I've never come across an issue that they haven't resolved quickly over the phone. I would recommend making an appointment early for pick up in May and drop off in August since those are their busiest times. They also have cost estimates on their website and are willing to go into more detail over the phone. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in between leases or not in town for the summer.

The price was right, the security for an outdoor space was as expected (and I don't expect much for outdoor car storage): tall fencing, code-controlled gate, CCTV. Staff were always friendly, though I rarely had to deal with them. We returned to our car after three months completely as we left it. Their online management system is fine, but can be a bit flakey, there were times where it displayed incorrect information and required me to call in to confirm that my payments had been made and that I still had my space. There were no problems with my account, but the online display was wrong. A little disconcerting and a minor frustration. Overall, if you need basic self-storage for your vehicle, this is a good option. They require you to be there in person with your license and vehicle registration and insurance, don't count on being able to reserve a spot over the phone for your vehicle. Other places in town have either strange hours or had filled up sooner.
