First you order your box (which in my son's case was 2 large boxes). Basically they are massive wooden crates on wheels. They then deliver them to your dorm/apartment and you pack at your convenience. My son packed in between finals for a couple days. Then they come and take the crates at your designated appointment time/day. They have multiple options, but in our case, we needed them stored over the summer and brought back to his new dorm starting the school year in August. It was nice for him to not really have to seal everything in small boxes and pad things...you can use boxes to organize, but you can just put your stuff straight in...and the best part is that there is a clothes rod built inside that you can simply transfer your clothes on hangers straight in. I was nervous to come here to do my laundry as I was hoping to avoid "Lafayette's finest". I…read morenormally go to levee laundry because I feel decently comfortable there. I wanted to keep it closer to my apartment because I was in a time crunch. Right as I walked in, I looked around. I saw the desk where an employee, I assume, was supposed to sit. This very friendly, elderly woman asked me if I needed any help, as she noticed that I seemed lost. I smiled and told her I was okay, just that I hadn't been here before. I sat my stuff down and she politely said she would show me around. (She then continued to show me how to work a washing machine, which I found adorable.) She continued to show me things and asked if I had any questions- just as sweet as could be. I loaded my clothes and then a man came around and asked if I needed any help. Both staff members were both extremely polite and helpful and that lowered my anxiety of being here in the first place. The waiting area is kinda yucky, soiled carpet, toys that I would never let my children touch, and the sitting objects are outside patio furniture. I will more than likely stop by again when I'm in need of more than one load of laundry at any time. Regular machines are $1, the bigger loads are $4.25. Pleasant people surpassed environment this time, in my book.

It took until 4:50pm Tuesday to get to Lafayette, then it took until 8:05pm the next day, Wednesday, to get to Indianapolis. It missed the FedEx plane to Oakland, so they shipped it to Memphis 12:35am Thursday. Loaded onto the FedEx Memphis to Oakland flight arriving OAK 6:15 am. The rest of the delivery went without a hitch finally arriving at 12:55pm Thursday. Wasted my time waiting around for the "overnight" delivery. I'll be asking for a complete refund. Not great service.
