I asked All About Water if they could test and ensure function of a fountain at a subdivision entrance. While I can agree that some service calls are legitimate businesses expense, to that fact, I did pay $400 of $720 invoice- even though I considered this excessive and unauthorized service. However, as of today Ryan has not been able to do anything that he has promised- I'm not sure he has done anything except run up an unapproved expensive bill. Bottom line is I should have hired another company- I should have listened to the other reviewers here. This company has a history of lining their pockets from unsuspecting clients and I'm not the first one to realize this fact- albeit late. What has happened, is no estimate given, we asked them to not work anymore until an estimate was given, (they did anyway and tried to bill for it) they have not even been able to get the fountain pool full of water(contradicts the business name I know), they have not tested the pump that was wired up by a licensed electrician (Ryan the owner of this company offered to wire the 220v pump up, but is not licensed in AL) I don't know how companies like this stay in business, really. When I tried to discuss the erroneous bill with the owner, Ryan, I was hit with a belligerent, disrespectful, and threatening owner- that wanted to threaten me with lawsuits and liens due to non payment- for services not provided and no approved estimate/price whatsoever- more importantly nothing has been done. NOTHING. I suspect this is a business model he has employed and probably used to stay afloat by taking advantage of clients with this bad business practice. Although I tried to have a one on one conversation with Ryan he about these issues. He thought it was best to degrade me and continue to hang the phone up on me like a child. Again I do not recommend anyone work with this company for any reason whatsoever, due to shady business practices, a untrustworthy owner and unable to have an adult conversation with the owner- problems will always come up and as a business owner how you deal with them will determine what your reviews are. I have a fountain that had a number of cracks forming and wanted them repaired before they cracked all the way through. I was told up front that it was an $80 service fee and $80 per hour per person. It was not a large job and they did not have to take the fountain apart to make repairs. Should not have required more than 1 person. The day before the repair, I was told 2 people were coming. They repaired the fountain in less than an hour and when I got the bill it was $295 including $55 for epoxy and brushes! A little high for supplies. I should have gotten to keep the supplies that were left over. I noticed immediately that the repairs looked like the epoxy was just slopped on. There were drips visible everywhere. After spending a week texting back and forth with the owner, he offered nothing to fix the problem. Said that you wouldn't notice the repairs when the fountain was running. Not true. Now the epoxy is discoloring and even more noticeable. They scheduled me for a 2 person job that didn't need 2 people just to be able to charge more. I don't think the second person did any work, but I was not there to watch the "repair". I never said his child being in the hospital was not as important than my fountain. I told him that I was in the hospital also. He has been nothing but rude and hostile each time I tried to talk to him about the issue.
