I had the worst experience. Someone came out to unlock my car because i locked my keys in my car, seemed like he was more worried about hitting on us rather than getting my car unlocked, 20 minutes go by but once he did unlock it the car alarm would not stop going off, he then proceeded to tell me " i don't know how to make it stop i've never seen this before" it was going on for 10 minutes and was more worried about me paying him. I ended up googling how to get it to stop and did it myself so told him to leave. Will never be using them again. On my way home from Columbus, my car broke down. So of course I called AAA, who evidently called A & J towing. It was good daylight when I broke down; it was after dark and raining by the time someone got there. Then, standing out in the rain in wet grass 25 miles from home, I was informed by the driver that AAA had to call his boss and authorize payment, or he had to impound my car! I have never run into that sort of thing before. Fortunately, the driver was unable to load my car due to a problem with the winch. 7/25/2017 810AM I'm not sure how this company was able to be added to a fleet account dispatch but they have poor customer service. It's 2017 and I'm guessing they are still using Mapquest because apparently they couldn't find my house. A home built in 1994 by the way. Roadside called to see if my service hadn't arrived, they conferenced us in, and they manager claimed the tech came to my home and they "woman" that answered the door knew nothing about it. When I face them my address and the cross street, they said "you home must be where that bridge is out at." He was referencing a bridge that had been removed over 10 years ago!! He also told me "you house is not in Carroll, that's the problem." I told him, "yes it is, you cannot tell me where my house isn't at." He then said, " we will be there shortly thank you." When I asked, "what's your name?" He had hung up the phone, I immediately called and reported his company and had them send another company out. Do not waste your time, rude manager!!! read more

Worst company ever had my car towed at 1am on a Saturday night and was told we could pick it up on a hour went there and sat in the parking lot til 8am when there is 50 signs post open 24 hours yet we got no service til Dylan showed up at 8 am confused I wrote a review on Google and was told that it was a miscommunication and that they were closed sundays very fishy never using this company ever again complete trash read more

Only call these guys as your last resort. Did they get my car out of a horrible situation? Yes. Do I believe they committed fraud with how much they charged me? Absolutely. Thank goodness I have insurance. They charged me an hourly rate of over $600. I have no idea how any tow company can charge that hourly rate, no matter what they're doing. With that being said, they got my car out and I'm thankful for that. Just be prepared to pay 10x anything you would think as a standard tow company rate. read more

Got a bad vibe from A&J from the moment they took my car from the accident scene. I was told that I couldn't tell him where to take MY car, only my insurance company could tell him where to take it. My insurance company said that was not true and I could tell him where to take it because I am the owner of the vehicle. He basically refused to take my car anywhere until he had a check in hand from my insurance co. Even after the body shop talked to him and told him his check would be written as soon as he dropped it off, it still took them almost 48 hours to get my car from the accident scene to the body shop (then his tow yard) which are all about a mile away from each other. He kept lying about when it would arrive so I had to call the local police and threaten him to get my car there before I would arrive at his lot with an officer and diff tow Co to get my car. It took about a dozen calls from myself, husband, body shop and adjuster to get my car there. My insurance adjuster, body shop and the police officer I spoke to ALL said this is just a game tow companies like to play to get storage fees.... the longer he keeps my car the more he makes. Not professional what so ever. If this tow company ever shows up to "help" you, refuse their service and call someone else, like Fletchers (I called them and this is not at all how they operate) or anyone else. Don't let this man lie to you like he did me. He's a money hungry liar! After talking to several people, this is pretty normal behavior for this company so save yourself and AVOID! This was probably the worst service I've received in my life. We had a our U-Haul truck get stuck in a ditch after a long day of moving in the snow and ice. My son and husband called and were told it would be $225 and he'd be right there. The guy on the phone was rude to begin with. When he got there he pushed my family out of the way and proceeded to try and get the truck out. When he couldn't he called a partner with a bigger truck. The guy pulled up and didn't even assist with the bigger truck. After a half hour it was free and we were ready to leave. The driver gave us a bill for $605 and when my husband asked why so much he went off! He basically told my husband that the discount he was going to give involved hooking the U-Haul up and towing g it to his lot which would cost us $1500 instead after he impounded it. Is this even legal? It took him less than 45 minutes to get the truck free, the 2nd bigger truck wasn't even used so how can this be possible? So frustrated, going to BBB and trying to get some type of understanding of this. Definitely don't call these guys you'll be frustrated and out a good chunk of change. Asshats read more

Very rude service. They were initially contacted by my insurance company when some asshole without insurance rear ended me to tow my car to the adjuster for an estimate. I informed them that the key would be left with the office at the apartment I lived in. I wasn't willing to leave my car unlocked with the key in it - parts of Lancaster aren't exactly in the best of areas. Well the apartment wouldn't cooperate so I ended up having to take more time off work to deal with this dumb shit - so I called them the morning of the tow to inform them that I would have the key and they can get it from me. The man on the phone rudely told me that they were not going to pick it up from he office anyways - well, ya you were had the office cooperated and I was already gone for the day. He then told me to leave it in the car unlocked, and then laughed at me when I told him I wasn't comfortable doing that. The driver arrived an hour early. I was just about to get ready to take a shower - he is lucky I hadn't started or he would have been waiting about 30 minutes for me. You schedule an appointment for a reason - stick to it. read more
