They did such an amazing job on our roof and we couldn't be happier. We had called a few roofing…read morecompanies that had never reached back out. A friend recommended Specialty Roofer and Jon called us back within 24 hours! The pricing was spot on and exactly what we had calculated ourselves. From my first contact with Jon, it took about a week to get everything done, from getting the estimate to having the shingles delivered, and installed. After the long process of dealing with our insurance company, this was the easiest and quickest part of the process for us!

The journey with Specialty Roofers has been very interesting. When they first started to repair our…read moreroof they did it during some rainy days and we got water in our house because they didn't tarp the roof properly. After the repair was completed we got several nails in our shoes because there were so many left in our yard. They trimmed the trees so they wouldn't touch the roof but left all the branches in our yard and left some touching the roof. The project manager was pretty good about following up to fix these mistakes, and seemed genuine about fixing the issues. They sent a person to fix the stains on the ceiling from the leaking caused by them but he was a little rude when entering our house. Saying, "Finally answered the door huh". The project manager Drew did come by himself and pick and trim the rest of the tree branches but we still found a lot in the yard. Honestly Drew was great but the overall experience from this company was pretty bad. I had to go and buy a metal detector to get nails out of our yard after they said they came by and cleaned up two or three times, If I was rating Drew I'd give this a 4 out of 5 stars but the company I'll give 3 starts. Too many mistakes with too many follow ups and unfinished tasks. And after all the follow up work Drew did I want to rate it higher but can't bring my conscience to give a good rating. A review is so others can go to a place with confidence and I can't recommend this company with confidence.

We moved in August of 2014 and began having problems with our dryer not working properly. The dryer would not heat, and our laundry room would turn into a sauna. We tried everything we could think of to fix it until the heating coils finally died and we had to buy a new one. Skip forward a couple of months, and our new dryer starts behaving the same way. We checked the vent outside and it was not clogged but completely flooded with water. On January 6, 2015, we contacted the builder as they are supposed to fix any warranty issues within the first two years. They sent someone out to fix it without telling us they were there or what work was being done to fix the problem. They never gave us the option to be home when the work was being done. I never could get a straight answer as to what was done, but the issue seemed to stop, so I let it go. Less than a month later, our dryer vent started flooding once more. My husband went outside with an 8-gallon Shopvac and filled it three times pulling water out; more than 24 gallons of water was in the dryer vent. The builder then came out and replaced the piece that sits on top of the vent outside and blamed the flooding on the rain that we had had recently. Once again, we received no notification that the work had been done, nor what they did. This proceeds to go back and forth several more times over two years with no real resolution until we decided to pull the water out ourselves and not deal with a headache that was Jimmy Henderson II Construction. On February 11, 2018, our dryer vent became so flooded that it started to overflow IN my laundry room. At this point, my husband and I decided to look at what the building code was for the dryer vent in the state of Florida. According to our measurements, the dryer vent was 27' long, and the maximum length according to Florida Building Code was 25'. So the water coming into the pipe is not groundwater, but CONDENSATION. I called and had two plumbing companies give us estimates to fix the vent. One refused even to provide us with an estimate and the other quoted upwards of $5K to fix it. The construction company refuses to come out and said that they would discuss it in a meeting and get back to us. Four months later I get an email stating that they are closing my complaint because I did not respond to an email a week prior. I check everything in my email, and no such email had ever been sent to me. On June 14th the City of Crestview Building Department supervisor comes to my house and CONFIRMS that the dryer vent is 2 feet over what the building code allows. He told us that it has to be rerouted through the roof. The man assured me that they would take care of it as they did not build it correctly. On June 20th, Tony Harkleroad calls and tells me they're going to be gluing the vent cover on the exterior pipe, but says nothing about rerouting the dryer as the inspector said was necessary. I let him know that they will be rerouting the dryer and nothing else and he agrees. The same day they had a roofer come to my house, drill a hole in my roof, and put on a boot vent. The next day workers came over to work on the interior updates. They never came back to clean up their mess and never told me that it was complete. I received a call from Denise Gaskin today asking me to sign off on some warranty paperwork that I am satisfied with the work performed and nothing else will be completed. I told her that I would be happy to sign it once they have provided me with a copy of the building permit and inspection. It turns out they never pulled a permit (even though one was required) and are refusing to not only pull one but are also refusing to have the work inspected. His employees were instructed today to long answer any of my calls. He did wrong and will not make up for it.
