The journey with Specialty Roofers has been very interesting. When they first started to repair our roof they did it during some rainy days and we got water in our house because they didn't tarp the roof properly. After the repair was completed we got several nails in our shoes because there were so many left in our yard. They trimmed the trees so they wouldn't touch the roof but left all the branches in our yard and left some touching the roof. The project manager was pretty good about following up to fix these mistakes, and seemed genuine about fixing the issues. They sent a person to fix the stains on the ceiling from the leaking caused by them but he was a little rude when entering our house. Saying, "Finally answered the door huh". The project manager Drew did come by himself and pick and trim the rest of the tree branches but we still found a lot in the yard. Honestly Drew was great but the overall experience from this company was pretty bad. I had to go and buy a metal detector to get nails out of our yard after they said they came by and cleaned up two or three times, If I was rating Drew I'd give this a 4 out of 5 stars but the company I'll give 3 starts. Too many mistakes with too many follow ups and unfinished tasks. And after all the follow up work Drew did I want to rate it higher but can't bring my conscience to give a good rating. We recently had our entire roof repaired, following damage due to Hurricane Sally. We contacted several roofing contractors, many of which returned lower priced bids than Specialty Roofers did. When I questioned the SR bid and why it was higher, Jon Miller very clearly explained the differences in the quotes and why his was more comprehensive. We selected Specialty and scheduled the date for installation. Jon Miller stayed in constant contact with us, and they actually moved our install date forward by about 8 days (we were thrilled!) Eduardo and his crew showed up on time and completed the job in one day. Aside from the beautiful new roof, the most impressive part was how thorough the clean-up was. The whole crew spent over an hour cleaning up debris, rolled the yard with a magnetic device to pick up nails, and left the property in excellent condition. John from Specialty Roofers, Inc. is the best! These people are top quality. John went WAY out of his way SEVERAL times to help us. We are a non-profit school that received some damage from hurricane Michael. The day after the storm, I called to ask how much it would cost to have him come take a look at some roof damage we received. He said he would go by and look and call me in the morning. When he called me the next morning, he told me that he and his son had completely cleared our property of debris. He did this out of the kindness of his heart, without me even asking! After that, he repaired our roof exactly the way we wanted it done. You could reallly tell that he is a good person and we are so grateful for all he has done for our school. great job by specialty roofers. after hurricane sally, alot of folks had wind damage and Drew was upfront that the queue was building and it was a 3mos wait and the estimate fell in line with the insurance payment. i felt good about them because was honest and a local company. the crew came in on schedule and worked hard from 6am to 6pm, they left my yard clean and i had no worries about the job not be done correctly. plus, i like the free wind mitigation after the new roof was installed. yes, i highly recommend them. read more

After doing over $30,000 in damage ro my house, the owner Mike said to me "Whatever dude" they disconnected and displaced every roof vent and my chimney and my house now has so much water damage, areas are isolated and I need a hygienist to tell me how bad the mold is. The roof is sagging and caving in after I spent $12,000 cash for a new roof in August and in my contract it says I was to water barrier, I only got felt and an email from the President saying they haven't used water barrier in 12+ months. I have that email. They left over 300 nails on my property and my house is now not livable due to their negligence. Lastly the salesman Kris said they ONLY took cash, it's recorded so not making it up, they take credit cards which I found out after so I was lied to, again by them. My roof failed County Inspection. If you are looking to pay someone $12,000 to destroy your home, Mike Miller will be happy to tell you "whatever dude" after he cashes your cashiers check. We had a good experience with our roof replacement. The quote was accurate as was the timeliness of the job. The guys worked long and hard the first day enabling them to easily complete the job the second day. Cleanup was pretty good. From task start to finish Mr. Roberts demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and expert knowledge in the field of roofing. Mr. Roberts communicated well and kept me informed throughout each phase of the roofing project. After the new roof was completed, Mr. Roberts followed behind the roofing crew and sweep the property for roofing nails and debris leaving the grounds spotless. Mr. Roberts has provided pictures of the new roof, which are needed to satisfy my homeowner's insurance company requirements. In addition, a wind mitigation inspection, which was included in the roofing contract has been scheduled and will provide a substantial discount on my homeowner's insurance premium. On 29 June I was looking for a quality roofing company to come to Niceville and do some gutter work and other areas where nails and screws were coming out of my roof, thereby not holding shingles taunt and in addition, water from my steep roof was pouring into my pool . I made my decision to call Specialty Roofers, Inc., based on data provided on the internet. Within an hour of calling them I had received a call back from James (estimates, and yard boss). He was at my house within 15 minutes. James was most professional and impressive regarding my problems. He indicated they would be back to do the work in 4 days. They came Friday, even 15 minutes early and began to work. I was really impressed watching how careful they were. They even cleaned the pine straw from my roof and gutters. James had made a quality review of my roof at the beginning, they fixed all problems and painted where necessary. He told me my roof was good to go for many years and if I had a problem with any of the work they did to call him and he would be here to fix it the next day. the roofing crew that did my house was good. finished in two days. stayed till almost 8pm the first day. they did however leave a pretty big mess that they didn't clean up. on top of that James, the project manager, the guy that came and did the bid and set everything up was a total dick. was impossible to get a hold of, didn't want to answer his phone or reply to emails, took over a week just to get the quote, had 3 other companies come out and got a quote the next day. had to mention things that he forgot to include in the quote. told me on two different occasions that he was going to drop color samples off at my house, and then tells me I need to go pick them up, wouldn't have been a big deal if he told me to go pick them up instead of saying that he would drop them off, then just not call or email saying he couldn't make it. If you hate someone and want to get back at them, go ahead and recommend this company to them, other wise stay away from them. read more
