A Barber's Cafe has always been reliable, until recently, when every barber left. I won't leave a bad review because of that - I've always had a good experience. Alexis has been my barber for over 3 years. Always consistent. Always a great cut. Stephen (and I think Carlos) also did a great job. Then one day the entire barbershop completely turned over with new barbers. I looked around for a new barber without much luck but was able to locate Alexis. Was in NC on business and desperately needed a shave, Alex opens at 8am on Fridays which was awesome! He made me a Cafe Curtado (espresso with a shot of steamed milk) it was yummy. Finding a good barbershop is very rare. This is one of those rare barbershops! I was having a hard time finding a barbershop that did fades well. I don't like to see lines and I like it faded to the skin. Many places don't take the time to do that. My general rule for a good cut is that the barber takes their time when giving a fade. The barber, Alexis, spent at least 20 minutes on the fade itself. The beard trim shaped up my beard perfectly without taking off any length. One of the best haircuts I've had in my life. The beer that was offered while waiting was a nice touch also. I'll be a return customer. read more

Not terrible but so many better options. Right across the street is Potts barber shop, which I highly recommend. This barber shop is comparable to Sports Clips but more expensive. Not worth your money when you can save 15 bucks at Potts or anywhere else for a better quality haircut. read more

I just moved to the area and I needed a haircut. I called and they were able to squeeze me in the same day. Barbershop's are always tough for me. I either get a really good fade with a bad scissor cut, or I get a great scissor cut on top and a terrible fade. Well this is NOT the case here! I went with Alexis, great dude! He was fantastic with the clippers and he was even better with the scissors. If you want a great hair cut and experience I'd highly recommend this barbershop. read more

In town for a wedding and stopped in for a cut and beard lineup. The place is nice inside and clean and Alex did such a good job. I have barber friends at home and a sister who owns a salon. A lot of people cut hair but there are few who can do such a clean job and take time to make sure it's a product they are happy with putting out. Alex has to be one of the best barbers in the area. I consider myself a barber shop aficionado. I love a good haircut, beard trim, etc. Many places give you a good experience, but generally lacking in perfecting the cut and really taking their time on you. If you are looking for one of the best haircuts in Charlotte (and actually out of probably 30 barber shops I've been to, this is in the top 3), look no further. I've been going here for a few weeks, and haven't been let down once. Consistent every single time. Everyone else I see in the chair leaves with a perfect cut. Even young kids get the same amount of time spent on them. Hurry up and get here, prepare to look better than you have in a while. read more

Alex does a decent job for first-time costumers. He will always prioritize new customers and leave you waiting and will ask you to let new customers go before you. He is ALWAYS, and I say ALWAYS late. Forget about appointments. Last time I took my lunch break and an hour vacation to go get a haircut; I drove 32 minutes from South Park and I had an appointment. He made me wait for more than 30 minutes. I finally had enough and left. It costed me between gas, my vacation time and having to eat out more than $100. Never again! read more

Cecille butchered my hair to the point the owner had to step in to fix. Hair is messed up to the point that it's so short, there's no way of fixing it. Going to have to wait till it grows back out just to go elsewhere to trim it and have it look presentable. If you need a simple hair cut, None of that fancy styling, then don't go here.
