On the wedding day, he was flexible and added in a few group shots that we hadn't planned on taking. He was able to roll with the punches and had a very upbeat attitude the whole day. He was also able to take so many shots of my husband and I and they all turned out to be fabulous pictures of us. And, the CD with all our pictures of it was ready in under 2 weeks - there was no 3 month wait to see the pictures of our wedding. All the photographs turned out beautifully! I can't even say how much we love our wedding pictures!!! Ralph also has very reasonable prices for a wedding photographer. She knew how important capturing the right moment was for us and caught the best photos during golden hour of our wedding. One of the best parts of getting married is getting your pictures taken over and over and over and…read moreover and over.... Okay, so not really. But if you have a photographer like Brian, it can be FAR less painful. I still hated having my picture that much, but at least I had someone fun and super talented on the other end of the lense. I met Brian at the Bravo Wedding show. If you are getting married, I recommend going to this show. He was friendly and chatty and gave us a coupon for a free engagement session if we used him. I was sold, but the hubby wanted to talk to a couple other photographers. So a few weeks later we made the rounds to the 4 or 5 we had narrowed our choices down to. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with the other photographers, but I just knew that Brian was going to be the right fit for us. And can I add that the price was right? You will spend a WHOLE lot more with some of the comprable wedding photographers in Portland. Brian did our engagement photos for us in Cannon Beach, where we got engaged. We ran all over the city taking pictures and finished with some pictures on the beach. Not only was the session free, but he only charged us $150 to travel all the way out to the beach. A steal if you ask me. The day of the wedding was just as good. Everyone was smiling and really enjoying the whole experience... which if you knew my husband and some of his freinds, the amount of smiling they did was a miracle. I give Brian all the credit for that. :) He even managed to pull of a last minute save as my mother tripped over her pants and went tumbling forward. Not a bruise on her or his camera. How many people could pull THAT off? The website he posts the pictures on is simple to use, which is a bonus for those not-so-computer-literate family members. And he will sell you all of the negatives. We got our wedding, wedding rehearsal, and engagement photos all for one price. And when one of our books didn't come back the way he wanted it, he turned around and ordered a new one. A several hundred dollar loss to him, but some two very happy clients. Seriously, I have no idea how he made any money off of us... My only warning is that it can take a couple weeks to get your photos. We got our about a week after our honeymoon, which was fine with us. But if you are going to want your wedding photos the next day, Brian isn't for you. But the quality of his work makes it worth the wait. So, if you need a wedding photographer, give him a call. You'll love how friendly he is and how relaxed you will be. Oh, and ask him to show you the jelly bean trick he does with his dog. :)

At least those were my initial thoughts going into the big day. Reality, the photographer will make your big day seemless, amazing, and fun! Until you actually get married, it is hard to grasp how fast a wedding goes by. Ashley was phenomenal at capturing the candid moments of all of our guests. Her pictures leave you with a sense that you were at the event showcasing all the effort that was put into our wedding. Thanks to her, she helps us fill in the pieces that we would have missed. I talked with her previously about what style of photos I wanted, I like some formal shots but mostly candids. She really listened to my request and I was so happy to see that the photos were the style I wanted! It seems like all weddings have something(s) that go wrong.
