Am updating due to three issues. (1) SF changing my policy payment amount without notifying me in…read moreadvance and without requesting my approval of same. I called my SF contact, Elijah Neal (who, by the way offers really good customer service - he has a calm demeanour, even when I get heated my frustration w/SF, he tries his best to find out what's going on with my account & he has never rushed me off the phone - kudos to Elijah). He explained to me that due to the corona virus, SF was offering its customers the option to pay a reduced monthly amount. Then they would add the remaining balance due to a subsequent payment. OK, (a) I didn't request this, (b) SF did not send to me an email nor call me to advise of same, and (c) I am not interested in the reduced payment and subsequent future higher payment. After being on the phone with Elijah for over an hour, he was able to figure out how SF (maybe corporate headquarters) could remedy this for me. (2) On two separate occasions, SF has sent emails indicating "payment past due" when this has not been the case. My payments are due 28 of each month and my account was already paid on time. Got me wondering if these emails are auto generated (have discussed with Elijah). (3) This ties in directly to item (2) above. The foot of said email includes (the head guy) Jake Fulkerson's contact information and there's a link indicating "reply to me." I did so to inquire why the email was sent to me when I'd indeed paid on time. Jason McElroy (the manager at the same office with Elijah) replied. Note: my few interactions with Jason have also been pleasant (customer service from both Elijah and Jason are "thumbs up"). What I fail to understand is why Jake couldn't take the time to figure out what was behind the email and follow up with me directly. I mean, really, what's the point of having an email signature block read "reply to me" if the person is just going to assign his staff to address it? I've been transparent with Elijah and have discussed with him my disappointment with SF. In my search for a viable alternative, I've come up short. GEICO is considerably more expensive (and the CSR I spoke with over the phone was less than cordial). Still, I'm going to re-visit my options. To summarize, SF corporate (or whatever area handles the auto generated emails) & the head guy, Jake both get a rating of 3 while Elijah & Jason score much higher at 4.5...I'm shopping around again.

I ask what that meant he said when a driver hit my car with no insurance or if I was involved in a hit and run it would cover that. now they giving me a different story because I didn't get the tag number. when I call all other insurance companies say say what the sales guy said is totally correct. so do not go with statefarm they are not on thier customers side at all. they always have attitudes and bad customers service. I do not recommend them to any one. This sad I never leave bad reviews. The person assign to my claim never called, I had to harness them. like I'm going through traum already like what. diffently don't need my insurance company making things stressful.
