Never again Last…read moreyear, we purchased a Smith Brothers sofa from Hollberg's Furniture.Within days of delivery, feathers began poking through the seat cushions. These were not soft down feathers but duck feathers with hard quills that penetrated the fabric, leaving sharp feather ends sticking out of the cushions. We paid extra for the upgraded "down" cushion option. What we were not fully aware of at the time was that the filling is only about 5% down, with the remainder consisting primarily of duck feathers. When we contacted Hollberg's Furniture, we were told this was normal and that the feathers simply needed time to settle. We accepted that explanation and waited, but the problem continued for months without improvement. Eventually, after a year of them stalling, the store ordered cushion liners to address the issue. However, rather than arranging for installation, they provided the liners to us and expected us to install them ourselves. I attempted the installation, but it proved to be a difficult and time-consuming task. When I asked the store if they could send someone to perform the repair, they refused and instead gave me the phone number of someone I could hire at my own expense. What is most disappointing is that this was a premium sofa with an upgraded cushion package that cost extra. We expected a higher-quality product and a higher level of customer service. Instead, we spent months dealing with feathers poking through the cushions and were ultimately left responsible for implementing the fix ourselves. The overall experience fell far short of our expectations. Based on the product quality issues and the lack of customer support, I would not recommend purchasing from Hollberg's Furniture.

Hancock and Moore has reputation for high end furniture. What a disappointment. The manager/owner of Hollberg's is not for the customer, only for their money. She sided with H&M and refused to exchange or accept a return. She even gave me a lecture that I should be more responsible with my purchasing decisions. Buyer beware. The employees are extremely friendly and pleasant UNTIL something is wrong. Then, they don't know you.

They helped me do the purchase over the phone, responded quickly to questions, and offered to hold the chairs for me until I could get back to pick them up. When the day came, lo and behold, the chairs wouldn't fit in my car! Temporary panic, but no worries. Lori arranged for immediate delivery for a very reasonable price. Just one more reason to shop local instead of all the hassle of the chain stores! I was so pleased with this purchase, and I have recommended this store to other friends who love to fill their homes with unique pieces. Blue Fern is the real deal. You can get cheap reproductions of the farm house look anywhere, but Blue Fern has truly unique, carefully selected, quality items. So thrilled with the entire experience! When I walked in and I found her shitting in my bathroom, the owner and I discussed it and I requested that the employee not come back to my home to clean and the owner agreed. The company respected that until December I walked out in my living room to see the same cleaner standing in my home and did not even say good morning to me. Now fast forward to January 5, they did it again. Brought the same employee to my home and when I told them that I would not be able to allow her to clean my home, but the other cleaner Alyssa is allowed to come in to clean, Alyssa told me it will just be her cleaning and she went to check in with the office manager Steve. Alyssa came back and said they will have to clean on another day because Steve said she can't do it on her own. They then proceeded to charge my card on-file and indicated that I refused access to the home which I have video recordings from my doorbell that I did not refuse access to Alyssa. They are the ones who refused to allow Alyssa to clean the home alone. 2. Very unprofessional services. They will be in the wrong and not apologize. They no showed on me back on Sept 29, and then gaslit me and said that my schedule got thrown off from vacations that I took several months prior. Up until that time, they were coming for the regular two weeks schedule, so I'm not sure how to schedule worked for several months and then suddenly did not work in Sept. They clearly messed up and had a scheduling error and instead of owning that as any professional Business would do they gaslight costimers. 3. The cleaning services was great in the beginning and then their attention to detail and level of cleaning drastically dropped. They would clean and my bathroom floors would be left completely dirty for several cleanings back to back. They were spraying and washing it down, rather than actually scrubbing it. See photos below. Several other areas of my home would be neglected from basic things like dusting the lights over my kitchen island, blinds, cleaning the backsplash behind my stove, cleaning the range hood, cleaning underneath the kickboards of the cabinet where several food crumbs would remain that my 19 month old daughter would constantly pick up. And there's so much more. 4. They scratched the outside of my new tub in my bathroom with their vacuum. 5. Please note that if you use this company, not only will you get unprofessional services, but they will have a nasty attitude that you are begging them to clean and they are doing you a favor. These are very inexperienced people trying to run a business and doing a very poor job at it. RESPONSE TO THE BUSINESS's REPLY. Using ChatGPT to reply to me is actually amusing and shows that you just don't know what you're doing. You can't even come up with an authentic response and a lack of education in your field. It truly baffles me that they will lie when I have video recordings and I am not bluffing. I just sent them proof that I have a video recordings. I did not address the employee directly. I spoke to the Action manager this morning and I said to her very calmly that I was confused because I had an agreement with the owner Kia for the individual to not return to my property. In fact, my video recording will show that the employee walked away while I was speaking to the acting manager to go back to their car and started cursing, she was the one who used profanities. As far as several site visits, management visiting and quality control, THAT IS A LIE. The owner Kia cleans my home. That's not a site visit, that was her coming every two weeks to clean and she was part of the problem. She's actually the one who did not clean my shower for 3 consecutive cleanings. If a company would lie, knowing that a customer have actual video proof....RUN! These are not the kind of people that you want cleaning your home. And I absolutely use profanity only after they left my property and charged my card today on January 5, 2026. Our long history of text messages conversations history will show that there was never prior any profanities used before that. I also downloaded and saved all video recordings from my camera anytime any discussion took place in my home regarding any issues so I have proof so keep lying and I'll show those as well. ANOTHER UPDATE: Company states that they're immediately refunded me that is a lie. Got an email indicating that I was charged and there is no email indicating that I was refunded and my bank account reflects the same. These people are DANGEROUS !! They are lying, knowing that I can disprove everything that they are saying.

Gave me advice on a couple of other appliances that had glitches which I can take care of myself or they said might not be worth the fix if they get bad enough.

They were able to tell almost immediately that the compressor had died. They told us the likely replacement cost (even if we could find a replacement) - over $1,000! This is a big enough % of the replacement cost that we opted to skip the repair and started looking for a replacement instead. We did have to pay for a service call, but compared to other similar repair visits, their rate was fairly reasonable. Based on their visit as well as the level of difficulty in scheduling any alternatives, I'd gladly utilize Fischer's Appliance Repair again in the future.
