I originally saw Steve Zaffer after searching for a counselor that was familiar with EMDR…read moretreatment. I had 2 promising session with Steve, in which I did mention I have an existing health condition that could, at times, affect my ability to keep some appointments. Steve said he understood, we went over his cancellation policies which required a 24 hour notice. I missed one appt due to my medical issues, then a second due to a family emergency that required me to leave the state for a few days. This second cancellation I was able to give not 24, but 48 hr notice. After this, when I tried to schedule my next appt, suddenly Steve no longer had availability. Maybe it was coincidence, maybe it wasn't, but it is never a good thing when the person entrusted with your mental healthcare has no time to actually treat you for several weeks. Add to this that the office is so small and set up in a way that the only place to wait for your appt is in a tiny hallway in which you can easily hear any ongoing sessions, it is not an office I'd recommend at this time. If I can hear someone in the room, someone else could easily hear me. I will be looking for a new professional. UPDATE: I noticed the response to my review, and perhaps I needed to be more clear, the 2 cancellations were NOT in a row and there was notice given per the policy I signed. I'm not upset at the cancellation policy but at the provider not adhering to the policy and also not bothering to contact me or return my calls. I had to contact him multiple times via text just to be told to find someone else. I wasn't going to into such detail but since the responder wants to insinuate that I'm simply disgruntled at the policy, I felt the need to provide more specifics. Thank you for the option to wait until the next available appointment, but my experience there has not left me with the desire to try my hand again. I'm much happier at Healthy Families. They're professional and my provider there always makes sure to contact me with any issues with scheduling. It's been a respectful relationship and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Completely inappropriate. SO DISORGANIZED! Inaccurately billed me and even though I've called upwards of 20 times to dispute nobody ever answers the phone or calls me back. This place should be put out of business by the better business bureau. I'm calling my insurance company next to file an official dispute and complaint.

She Probably save my life, I sought therapy a few months after loosing my life long best Friend unexpectedly. But She has helped me Through so Much trauma from my past and continues to help me still. I work in a mental health office myself. And often refer PT to your company at least once a week for therapy and special testing that we do do in our practice.

This did not happen. Lots of miscommunication and very sterile environment. There isn't a great place for parents to wait while their children are in therapy.
