Owner/employee (not sure) when we walked in was so rude. Barking at my son for trying a chair right when we walk in. Immediately turned around and left. You own a furniture store??? Don't want people sitting on the white chair? Put a sign on the chair. Anyone with denim could come in and ruin the chair also. Also, couldn't even get off the phone to yell at us. Not cool and not a good impression for us just moving into town. Would've spent a lot of money there today but I'll take my business elsewhere. I bought a table piece of decor that was very unique and a good price and some of the fragrances. They had great furniture...credenzas and hallway tables were nice. I love the octopus pieces. Incredible vintage store. The owner is so kind. It was storming and I didn't want to come out to the store in that weather, so I called up the store. She gave me a sense of the inventory. Definitely worth a visit, rain and all. I loved an electric blue chest of drawers but couldn't fit it in my car. She also has a mid-century modern display case. It is remarkable. Go get it. It's yours. If you want beachy or shabby chic or high-class elegant or anything in-between, this is your store. I had been looking for a distressed white entertainment center & searched the typical online sites and some good furniture stores in the area. The ones I liked were pricey and I thought about searching Vintage Chic as Donna gets different pieces all the time! Well low and behold, I found exactly what I wanted! Donna suggested I come in asap as there had been recent interest in the piece. Donna gave me good measurements and pictures and a great verbal description. I have never bought a piece of furniture without seeing it in person, but Donna's information and pictures & her candor made me buy the piece over the phone! The store has some amazing and beautiful pieces but the prices are over the top. If you are an Amazon and Homegoods shopper, many of the pieces in this store can be found for a quarter of the price at those. There are some unique pieces that are great....if you want to pay top dollar for them. Honestly, the worst part for me are the cats in the store. The smell of the cats hit you as you walk in. ANOTHER BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! I saw a dresser on the online site that I was interested in and called the owner of Vintage Chic to place the order over the phone. I had to cancel the order and so I did so the very next day by phone. The owner told me that she had not in that one day done anything to prepare for the shipping of this dresser and that it was sitting on her floor so it was no big deal. When I asked for a refund of my 685.00 she expressed that she could only give me back a couple hundred at this time and would get the rest to me. I thought ok, she will get it to me soon. She never called me, so after a couple weeks I called and requested my refund. She told me that with her bills things were tight so she was unable to get me any more money at that time. I then waited not hearing from her so a couple more weeks went by and she said that she could send me 50.00, but that was all she had as she had just moved the business to a new location. A couple months passed and no call from the owner, so I call again. She told me that times are tough with the new location and that she was a single mother struggling, so she could only send me another 50.00. I tried to be patient as I am also a single mother and I do understand that sometimes things just happen. A few more months and I have heard nothing from the owner. I call and she tells me that she can send me 75.00. So at this point it has been a year and I still had not been refunded the purchase price. So after not hearing from her for another 6 months I call and another 75.00 while explaining she is a single woman struggling to be a business owner and make ends me etc....So as you can see the same pattern over and over again. I text her a couple of months ago and asked for the remainder of my refund and she told me that because of school shopping that she was unable to give me any money, but told me to take care. So finally I was angry and text back that I thought I had been patient enough and I was demanding my full refund or I was going to make a bad review on Yelp. She replied by saying you know there is a restocking fee. Up to this point she hasnt even paid me the purchase price minus the restocking fee, I guess she didnt realize this as she was making this statement. So in summary.....It has been over three years now that I bought a dresser and cancelled the order the very next day. The owner has never, NOT ONCE called me to offer a refund during this three year time period. Any monies I have received have been by my initiating the call, which have several times over the last three years been without any offer of even the smallest amount to pay me back. To this date she has not paid me even the purchase price minus a restocking fee even with my calling her about 20 times over the last three years. BUYER BEWARE!!! read more
