As it was, we wandered away from the RER station and the restaurants that screamed: "Come here tourists, to overpay for mediocre food." About 10 minutes later we happened upon La Piazza. None of us were particularly interested in Italian fare that day, but we were interested in eating rather than more wandering (we had just spent a couple hours in the excellent Archeology museum at the Chateau. I had a decent duck lasagna, which we all washed down with a couple bottles of montepulciano (from Abruzzo, of course - when the Italian wines are less expensive than the domestic wines, you go for it). They also have a great chocolate sphere dessert which melts under a flow of hot chocolate cream which reveals a "mango tartare" underneath.
