I've been taking my cat Buddy to A Country Cat House whenever I needed to travel since he was a kitten, and Champ before him stayed there as well. I highly recommend it. The staff, and Patty in particular, is very friendly, and I know Buddy is well cared for while I'm away. I usually call a couple of times during my trips, and Patty always gives me an update on how Buddy is doing. Buddy gets play/cuddle time there, as do the other cats, as they let them out individually throughout the day for some play and petting. I often have Buddy's nails trimmed while he is there. The building is out in the country, and there are plenty of little animals running around from time to time that Buddy gets to see through the window. Once you leave Boyette road to turn into the property, there is a one-lane dirt road surrounded by long fences on either side, so be sure to check before proceeding to make sure someone isn't coming the other way. Due to COVID concerns, the staff now comes out to your vehicle to pick up your cat(s), and to return them to you when you're there to pick up. read more

I just picked up my sweet boy Gingy from country cat house. I absolutely love this place don't look anywhere else if you're looking for a place for your cat when you go away. Everyone is so nice and you can tell they really care. They even took my cat to the vet to get his Necessary shots for boarding. I would give them a 10 star if I could. Of course I was super nervous as any pet owner would be leaving your little one for an extended amount of time. Patty and Betsy were absolutely fabulous! The level of professionalism, customer service and all out care they provide for your fur baby is top notch! Once I dropped off my 11yr old cat, I knew he would be loved and fully cared for 100%. We decided to board our two cats for the first time. We live in South Tampa, but found that A Country Cat House was the best we could find and it was worth a little extra drive for them to stay here. What I loved about the place: 1. Military Discount 2. Friendly Staff 3. Fish Tanks for the cats 4. Large windows for every "townhouse or room" so the cats could see the horses, squirrels and other animals roaming around 5. Priced Competitively 6. Many cat occupants (proved to me that they were good) 7. We told the staff about another place that had webcams and we were tempted to go there, just for the webcams. They offered to take pictures of our kitties and send them to us while we were gone, so we could see that they were ok. (they did do this for us, so we were very pleased) 8. We were able to keep our two cats together in one 3 story townhouse What we didn't like about the place: 1. Definitely smells like cats! LOL If you have a sensitive nose, be careful walking in We are going to Mexico in January and plan on taking our cats back to A Country Cat House. They made us feel very comfortable leaving them there and knowing they'd be taken care of. read more

I am from Florida and had to board my cat for a full month. I was very worried because my cat had NEVER been away from her home. Therefore, being me, I did my research using the full Southwest Florida as my area. I found A Country Cat House and could not be happier. I drove an hour and half to get there. The staff made me feel very comfortable from the moment I walked in. I got pictures of my cat every day and when I went to pick her up she was fully groomed. She is a skittish cat, but she was calm and clearly happy in her "suite". I had called SEVERAL cat hotels on my search for the perfect place to board her and I will always be happy I chose the experience with A Country Cat House. Eileen, Patty, and Angela treat their guests as if they were their own cats. The cats are brushed daily and given lots of attention and play time. One of the best things about Country Cat House is the setting. It's peaceful and serene...no traffic noise and no barking dogs. Every cat's cage has a beautiful view of trees, birds, and squirrels. Firstly i dont write reviews i read them but dont normaly write anything but i felt that as a cat owner that i should share this the room for the cats ( the cheap seats) is filled with the strong scent of urine not cat but ammonia! its not healthy for a cat to breath this for extended times!! i discovered that the reason the scent is so strong is they severly limit the amount of litter in the small litter pans provided about a very small handfull each!!! after seeing this i took our cat out of there.... I was told that thats how they do their cats at home but i feel this is unhealthy for my pet...we have taken our cat to Almost Home Pet Resort they were very nice,no smell,plenty of litter and the rooms were bit bigger... Two years ago I placed my cat Mookie in their care. I offered to pay up front because there was a tragedy in my family and I would be a way a while. They declined my upfront payment. I was informed that I would received weekly photos of my cat. Photos came few and far in between. When I finally arrived back home (a few months later); I was greeted with additional unknown fees that quite frankly were outrageous. Although I had been gone for a few months (3/4 in total), charges that I was not made aware of were on a bill. I was told that if I didn't pay them $2400 I would not be able to get my cat back. I honestly did not have that amount. I reached out to them because I couldn't believe that they would hold my cat hostage unless I paid the amount. I haven't seen my cat since I dropped her off. I don't know how she is. I don't even know if she's alive. I have emailed them to at least tell me that and no response. I had that cat over 10 years. It's been two years since I've seen her and no one will help me. To them I'm just some cray cray cat lady who shouldn't have taken her cat to a cat hotel that turned into a cat hell. Any advice on how I can get them to respond or to tell me how she's doing? Did they illegal adopt her out? Like I pray Mookie is ok. read more

We own a veterinary hospital and have 5 cats. We only board dogs at our place so we always take our cats to A Country Cat House. Our kitties have stayed here many times. Three of them stay in a condo and the other two room together. They are brushed and have play time. Most of the cats can see outside or have a fish tank or something to keep their interest. We always know our feline family members are in good hands and that they receive the best of care while we are away. This is a beautiful place to take your cats for their vacations! I let my furry baby here for 8 days. I loved it from the moment I stepped inside. The person I met with was Patty. She's awesome! She made me feel welcomed and helped ease my nerves about leaving my Bailey. I felt so comfortable I didn't once think about his care while I was away. I only thought How I missed him. The establishment was clean and so organized. Everything is separated for each animal. The cats have their own little dwelling complete with a flat screen tv (if you choose it for your pet) I did! There were little rubber Tvs that the cat crawls into to sleep. You can bring your own blankie or toys. I brought my own food and kitty treats. They also have a few litter box types So it was nice they had the one I use at home. Made it nice and not confusing. I can only say I'm glad this is in my town because I will always leave my baby there. Great service and care. read more
