This was Penny's first real grooming, and Michelle was gentle, patient, and very reassuring the entire time. She clearly loves and understands dogs, and it shows in the way she handles them. She took her time, explained everything she was doing, and made both Penny and me feel completely comfortable. Penny had a few tangles, but Michelle worked through them calmly and with great care. I think where I messed up is not waiting to be put in the owners calendar and excepting someone else on their staff. I can not believe what they did to my golden doodle. Not only did they shave my dog all around, they cut the back of her leg, they cut one eye brow and left the other, they left patches all over her body, it's absolutely nuts, and they up charged me for their butcher job. Nick was not the one that did the job, he might be great like the referral I was given but he sent someone who clearly had little experience with doodles. I have taken my dog to the groomer since she was able to go and never had them do my dog the way they did her. I even text to check on her and was told everything was great, smdh. If you want your pet to be butchered, and you have $200 dollars to throw away, call these folks and don't get Nick, you will see. Only reason why I tried them is because there is a canine disease that is spreading with no cure. I was worried about my pup being around to many other dogs, my vet said avoid it. I should have just voiced my concerns with the Pet Spa in Palm Harbor and I am sure they would have worked with me. My pup may have had some matts but I was able to comb through them, so was her vet and her previous groomer, and as you will see in the photos, nothing on her face was gnatted up but her face was shaved too. This is my service animal, my family member, and I will never make this mistake again! Will claim the dog was extremely matted but can't explain the patches, why they cut my dogs leg, and why they cut my dogs eye lash, owner won't take any accountability, beware and save your dog the trouble of having an inexperience tech butcher your dog, post the videos and show how my dogs face was matted, how my dogs leg was cut, how you left patches and one eye brow cut, we will wait Nick and Golden Paw Spa! Golden Pet Spa LLC decided that instead of communicating , they knew what was best for my dog, not the vet, not the dogs owner, some folks that never dealt with us thought this was the best way to handle someone's pet! There thought was let's see how much we can get out of this guy, not ask him before we decided to do more than was asked, and then look how they did my dog and blame us because they don't know how to groom a doodle!!!! I wrote a review soon after I unfortunately chose this place to board my elderly shorkie who has a 6/6 heart murmur and GI issues when I had to fly across the country to see my mother who's battling lymphoma. I was late arriving to check my dog in prior to my flight due to work and was nearly ran off the road by a road rager and was upset for viable reasons. When I was beginning the check in process with who I later learned is the "Owner" of this dump, he told me "Look, you are all over the place I need you to forget whatever happened prior to now and check your dog in." This was so off-putting, rude and unprofessional and I wanted to leave and not board my dog. However, I was running late to get to the airport for my flight. My dog was super sick with a horrible cough she has not ever had, was extremely lethargic and not wanting to eat anything. I had to spend hundreds of dollars at the vet and spend countless hours trying to nurse her back to health. In fact, her vet diagnosed her as terminal and suspected her heart medication was not properly dispensed. During my dog's stay, while out of state caring for my ill mother, I tried calling daily to check on my dog and also struggled getting the camera that was "free" for first-time customers and the "Owner" was so rude upon check in when I asked how to access the camera, he explained so quickly and rudely I had to call to ask how to access. Immediately upon learning how sick my dog was, I called several times asking for information about my dog and whether she had symptoms while boarded. I repeatedly asked for the "Owner" to call me back and he never did. I then wrote the review. Immediately after posting the review, I received a text from the "Owner" and a phone call. He claimed he had my phone number wrong. He offered to help reimburse me some of the vet charges and begged me to remove the review stating he would continue to monitor my dog's health and my review would "ruin his small business". I refused to remove it and explained how rude he was upon check in and he made excuses but there is none. I told his employee what happened and what he said to me during check in and she was appalled and apologized profusely but then said he is the "Owner". As soon as I removed the review, he stopped responding to me, so I sent another text and he went off on me stating many rude things include my mom's cancer was not his problem. Beyond disgusting, heartless and mean and he stated I was supposed to keep him posted. It's taken me time to post this because of trying to help my mom best I can and it took months to restore my dog's health, and I am a single mom of two who just had 6 consecutive layoffs. The least he could have done was offer a partial refund but nope. I would not at all trust this cruel, rude and unprofessional man who clearly doesn't care about animals or people. My dog and all her belongings smelled terribly also. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!

I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her. There were absolutely no hot spots from the razor, no nicks or cuts and Ms. Peanut looked and smelled awesome. Plus, less than a 90 minute turn around was awesome. And a Sunday appointment? Couldn't get better. Also, if you have any sort of request you want her to do/not do, be sure to tell her.
