They moved (maybe?) to Praça do Comércio 110, 3000-116 Coimbra, Portugal, Google Maps has the right address. Our hotel front desk recommended this place. The food is quite good and reasonably priced. We ordered grilled octopus and grilled fish, and fish soup. Our waitress somehow couldn't take our order in time (she was just going around serving other tables). Went here based on yelp review. It more than lived up to the recommendation. It was small and quaint and very Portuguese. Our waiter, Raphael, was courteous and helpful with the all Portuguese menu. We ordered the house white wine and a bottle of still water. The wine was very good but very inexpensive. We started with soup, my wife with vegetable and me with seafood. While hers was good, mine was rich and flavorful and excellent (I had others in Portugal but this was the best). Then we had salad and chorizo sausage. Salad was adequate, but the sausage was done to perfection. Then came my wife's entree of pork cheeks with potatoes and a delicious cabbage mix. I had their goat, served in a pot with a luscious gravy that was perfect for dunking your bread in. With it were boiled potatoes and spinach. The spinach was pan seared with oil and garlic. The potatoes went well with the abundant gravy. Topped it off with the home made almond cake with a side of ice cream. All this for 75 euros. We came back to our hotel stuffed and satisfied. The only problem was yelp has the address wrong. I have included in the photos their card with the correct address, about a half block from the old one. By the way, they do take credit cards. On the Camino and was healing for a few days. The hotel desk person told me to try this place. He enjoyed the home style cooking. I had the goat stew (Fenchana?). Try it! I don't how many chances I would get to eat goat. Just a little gem of a place. read more

I had the grilled cod and my husband had the grilled octopus it was good but not very special. Delicious meal that is SO AFFORDABLE!!!! The outside of the building looks so unassuming and plain but the food is amazing. It is in an alley off of another alley so it would be difficult to find without GPS. We showed up at opening time (7) and by the time we finished our meal there were no available tables left. Menu is all in Portuguese but waiter kindly translated it for us. I got their special goat dish and it was incredible. It came with potatoes and spinach which were just as good. We went to this restaurant for lunch around 12:30 pm. We were the first, and was told that the guests usually don't show up before an hour later, which were fine with us. We had a lot of attention. The food is made from the ground, so we were to expect some preparation time - which only made the expectations for the food higher. We started with a platter of cheese and chorizo - very rich in taste. For main courses we had cod in mashed potatoes and goat cooked in red wine. What a tasty meal - and we had to leave food on our plates because there was just too much for one person to eat. Overall good experience. This is one of the nicer restaurants in the area so seems to attract some of the tourist crowds. Nonetheless, the food was still authentic and delicious. I got the wild goat stew cooked in red wine and blood, which is a Coimbra, central Portugal region special. It was a very unique, rich and a heavy dish that came with potato and spinach. Service was a bit slow and it seemed to be only two servers around. The waiters all spoke English and were patient to recommend dishes. Prices were fair. We just finished the most amazing lunch. After starting with bread and goat cheese. Because we were driving, we had wine by the glass and it was very good. My husband had the goat.
