I had asked for a local jeweler that was more mom and pop, less big chain that they trusted for quality and price. There were a lot of answers, and 95% of them were this Jewelfire location. That alone tells you all you need to know. But let me tell you a little more. I love that when you walk in, the owner is one of the people behind the counter. And she's wonderful, and compassionate and kind. I love that they have a treasure box for the kids you bring in and a coloring book ready if they need a distraction. The quality of their work is fantastic. Their turnaround is quick. The whole time I felt like I was working with a family member. Don't hesitate, this is the right place for you!!

My watch has not been wet, and I felt that the person I talked to is one who likes to blame others or other circumstances for things that they didn't do correctly. I took the watch to Batteries Plus, and they informed me that the battery in there was incorrect; it was an LR and should have been an SR. He found no corrosion in the watch. At the original battery replacement last fall, my watch face was cracked; Jewelfire replaced it at no charge, but I got the response "it probably wasn't us but we will replace it." I have had much better customer service elsewhere.

Both 14 Karat Gold, and neither of which I have any use for. I see this place, Gold XChange, every time I drive by the Westminster Mall... and I'm thinking; "Why Not?" So, I drive over and am greeted by a nice young gentleman who chatted pleasantly throughout the transaction. I'm not sure what I expected, having never sold or pawned anything like this, but I was in and out in 10 minutes, and the experience was quick and simple. \ The only semi-negative is the pricing in establishments like this. (Having never pawned or traded or sold or whatever this is before, I was unprepared.) The Retail Value on what I turned in is roughly $175, and when you sell to these places, you'll get much less. I got $25. Which, to be honest, was great because I found 'em at the bottom of a box, and I wouldn't have a CLUE how to sell old earrings otherwise. So, I got a free dinner out of it. But if you have the time or resources, I'm sure there are other places out there that will pay more. Apparently, they also do jewelry and watch repair.
