This review is specifically targeted towards their print and copy area:…read more I came to the store today to make some copies of a flyer that I had printed put. I used the color copy machine and when they printed out I noticed that the colors did not really match at all. The black was also very faint and almost look like a dark gray. I asked the girl to print them for me because maybe their copier would have darker ink. I thought I would be charge the same amount as the self serve since the other machine didn't seem to be working properly but she charged me the higher fee because I asked her to do it. I also needed a few things laminated and had called earlier in the day and was told it was 1.99 per sheet. When I arrived I was told it was 2.49. They did price match but only after I insisted. The manager was the person that told me the incorrect price. I was laminating an 8 x 11 that was cut in two pieces and instead of them cutting it in half again after it was laminated, she just handed it to me for me to cut. Normally this would not be a big deal but I had just been to Staples a few days before and had much better service. It's also concerning that the manager of the store doesn't know the prices or didn't take the time to verify. I will not be returning to this store for prints.

I recently ran into some major RSI issues, so I was in the market for a number of ergonomic…read moresupplies and devices. I badly wanted to like and support this place, but sadly after attempting to buy something there on a few different occasions, here's why I never have: 1) It's rarely open. No weekend hours, no evening hours. They're 8-5 (8-3 Fridays), and holidays? No way. It took me a while to find a time to come in when I wasn't working and they were open. And even still, I was rushed out the door when 4:55 came. 2) The showroom is a mess. I came in looking at adjustable desks and ergo mice/keyboards, and they had a few models, but the one they were showing off was covered in keyboards, most not plugged in, and several broken and unable to be hooked up (according to the saleswoman). It looks like a great place to sit in chairs, but man, they're really not doing themselves any favors selling other things with that kind of mess. 3) Poor lead time on desks. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks to get a standing/sitting desk in stock, plus delivery. The same desks are available with 1 week lead time online through other retailers, with no Boulder sales tax nor supplier markup, not to mention a greater selection. And the return policy... 4) The Return Policy. I walked in willing to buy a Rollermouse and walk out, but unsure how it would fit into my workflow. I was willing to pay tax, to pay their markup, all I asked was the ability to return it in some reasonable timeframe if it didn't work. I was told, instead, that they have a strict "No returns" policy on electronics. So, I walked out instead, and did the Rollermouse trial through the manufacturer instead, paying a bit more for the privilege. (I ended up loving the mouse, for what it's worth). As I've said, I really wanted to like this place, and to support a local supplier of necessary products, and I'm willing to pay to support places like this. But I really felt like Kare Products was trying to make me buy online from somebody else instead. I can't visit the showroom after work, the showroom itself is disorganized and I can't try the products, I can't get the products in a reasonable timeframe, and I can't even count on them to stand behind their products with a reasonable return policy. These choices and policies systematically erased every single advantage that a local store has, leaving you with the same disadvantages of online, plus the markup and sales tax of a local store. Perhaps I just had a poor experience as a non-corporate buyer, but despite their niche and wonderful products, this place seems fundamentally lazy and stuck in the past. Here's hoping they fix that before the clock runs out.

The folks at Kare Products are a pleasure to work with. Both Craig and Karen have been in the…read moreergonomics industry for years and really know their stuff. I tried out one of their chairs at the Boulder showroom and had a life-changing realization about the importance of an ergonomic workplace. If you're looking for a friendly shopping experience and an education in ergonomics along the way, I would highly recommend Kare Products.
