I have been considering a daith piercing for months as I have cluster migraines and conventional treatments have either not worked or have not been approved by my insurance. So on a visit to Cape with my daughter and while enduring a particularly bad migraine she suggested getting the daith piercing. I decided to go and do it before I lost my nerve. We were greeted and taken back without a wait, which was good as I was dealing with that whole, "should I or shouldn't I" thing. The studio was clean and my piercer was quick and professional. I've gotten four tattoos (five if you wanna count the extra name I had added to one of them) and they are great! Mikey Botkin is awesome! He's done all of mine except for the extra name...Chris did that one. I wouldn't recommend Chris to do lettering (especially scripty stuff) or possibly even a lot of line work. His hand seemed pretty shaky, and the name was supposed to be Gabriel in cursive, but really it technically says Galriel...and the "e" is dotted instead of the "i". Honesty he didn't follow the stencil at all and I was pretty disappointed with it, but it's on my leg and not really in everyone's line of sight to be inspected closely. ‍ But Mikey--for real folks. Absolute artist. Overall, my review for ADD: Talented. Friendly. Incredibly reasonably priced. Clean. All four of my tats are 4-8 in x 1-2in and costed $40-$80 read more

Mikey is the best artist he has done all of mine, he's very clean and a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to his work I highly recommend this place and ask for Mikey, sometimes you have to get an appointment but it will be worth it, you won't regret coming here! Got a tattoo here back in February. Im originally from the area but moved out of state several years ago and have heard great things about A Different Drummer so I decided to give them a try. Mikey did my tattoo and he rushed it and it didn't turn out well at all, which surprised me because I've seen his work so I thought It'd turn out good. When trying to get a refund like he said he'd do he wasn't keeping his word on it and was a little unprofessional. HOWEVER the owner, Chris, is a very nice man and when I told him about it all, he got it taken care of in the matter of a couple days (instead of a 2 week long drawn out thing that was going on). I was going to give them 1 star but Chris's professionalism and willingness to listen to/help me is the reason I'm giving them a higher rating. Also, my cousin got tattooed by another artist there and he did an amazing job. I'd probably come back again, however I would ask for someone else besides Mikey (but that's my personal opinion.) read more

I took my daughter to get her smiley pierced on 4/29. I called the day before to inquire about the price and ask if an appointment was needed. The young man on the phone told me no appointment was needed and the piercing was $30.00. After my daughter and her friend were pierced we were told it was $40.00. Seemed an awful lot like a bait and switch to me. When I called the day before I specified what my daughter wanted pierced. I would have given 1star but she had a good experience getting her naval pierced a few months ago with a different piercer. They are clean and sanitary. I would recommend triple checking the price. read more

Do not get a piercing here!!!! I got a prince albert done a few weeks ago and everything the piercer done was wrong! Normally a PA is done with a 3/4" 8 ga. CBR. Initially she wanted to do me with a 14ga!!!! WTF! That would be like a wire slicing through cheese!!!!! So, she did it with a 12 ga (so she says) AND IT WAS WAY TOO FAR DOWN!!!! Imagine having a 3/4" piercing that is 1" from your urethra! She didn't mark it....so I guess she was just eye-balling it. She obviously doesn't know that a man's dick grows involuntarily at night. The piercing didn't hurt, but I've had nothing but pain at night when I go to bed and have nighttime erections. As you can imagine, a 12ga piercing in a 3/4" hole can be excruciating when the distance is 1" when you have an erection!!! So, I went to another piercer in another town who was reputable. He said she pierced me WAY too low and with too small a gauge. Thats where all the pain was from. It was very irritated even after 3 weeks. There is just no room to accommodate an erection! The other piercer suggested trying to put a bigger ball in the CBR to stretch the ring 2 more millimeters. That helped a LITTLE bit. Overall I would stay away from a Different Drummer for male genital piercings! She has NO clue that penises grow!!!! and to pierce a dick that far down! Also, I'm cut and she pierced straight through my frenulum, which is the only place cut guys have left from their circumcision that has any of their original "skin" nerves left. You should never pierce a "cut" guy through the middle of his frenulum, it should be to one side or the other of the frenulum. I don't want to lose the piercing, so I'm going to someone else now to take care of.
