There was a language barrier, but I managed to get scheduled for a 10:30 am appt. I also asked how much the massage would be, and the lady said it was $110 total. When we got there we were brought in to the couples massage room and the lady said we had to pay upfront, which is an unusual practice in my book, but whatever, we paid. However, the total was $125. Even if tax was included to the $110 she mentioned an hour earlier on the phone, it still wouldn't equal to $125. So that was odd, I wonder how she got to that total. The massage was okay. Pressure was inconsistent, she would be soft in some areas and painful in others. My hubby said his massage was not bad. Also, they only gave us a 50 minute massage instead of 60. So I was kinda peeved that she charged extra than what she mentioned over the phone and that we were short changed 10 minutes. We won't be back. Once your eyes take a moment to adjust, you are met with a few couches and some water as well as a menu of services on the wall. They also have some pricing pamphlets on the coffee table between the couches and magazines - I've never needed them as I've never had a long wait, even without making an appointment. I usually opt for the package which includes 40 minute deep tissue massage with the 30 minute reflexology for 35 dollars. This includes a foot soak, reflexology foot massage plus legs, back, arms, and neck massage. The only downfall is that their lack of staff causes the employee to step away when someone walks in or if the phone rings. This means mid-massage they may step out to greet someone for a moment or two. These are usually VERY brief interactions, one or two minutes tops, before they are back and apologizing for stepping out. I completely get it - when you're a small locally owned business you have to make things work the best you can. The fact they pause a massage to greet someone and see what they need then give them a wait time is okay with me. If you're inpatient or not understanding that they are running a small family business then find a big box corporation that has a dedicated receptionist.
