My parents and I had an amazing tour of Berlin. We loved working with Jo Eckhardt who really listened and set up a perfect tour that met our needs and timeline. Thomas was an excellent guide. We had a delay and had to push our tour back by an hour and Thomas was flexible, which we really appreciated. We arrived by train to Berlin's main station and he was waiting for us outside. He was so knowledgable about Berlin and so entertaining that me and my parents we're fully engaged for the entire tour. My dad lived in Germany over 55 years ago and hasn't been back since, so this was a nostalgic journey for him, and my mom has never been, so this was an exciting new journey for her. Thomas really went above and beyond to take great care of my parents, making sure that they got in and out of the car safely and getting us as close to the action as possible. This was an unforgettable visit to Berlin, all thanks to Jo and Thomas! We highly recommend A Friend in Berlin! read more

Luca was an awesome guide. He was very knowledgeable, but not scripted, and articulated the historical significance of Potsdam ver well. We enjoyed Potsdam so much we made it the endpoint of our tour and spent the rest of the day there exploring. Luca provided excellent recommendations for local dining. I very much recommend this tour. read more

We had a wonderful time in Berlin thanks to a Friend in Berlin. I am very happy with the help I got from Jo Eckhardt seiting up a interesting and balanced program for my group. Sophie and Jeannine were wonderful guides, very helpful and flexible. The tours went very swift and smooth and it was a good mix of culture/architecture/history and development. I can strongly recommed A Friend in Berlin if you want to make your visit in Berlin memorable. Coco Thorin, Stockholm read more
