BEWARE! This company was apparently hired as a subcontractor by ADB companies to clear vegetation for AT&T's fiber optic line installation and maintenance. They delivered a letter a few days before, stating the work would be "Rear easements only; no work will be performed outside of these easement boundaries." The day the work was performed on my property, they did NOT work in the rear easement. They did NOT work in an easement at all. Instead, they pruned trees without permission on my lot far from any easements. In addition, the work was done poorly. They left stubs of branches on Lacey oaks without sealing the cuts, making the cuts vulnerable to oak wilt disease. They also made some pruning cuts too close to tree trunks instead of at the branch collar, ensuring the cuts will never heal properly. Most of the cuts were ragged edged, leaving areas of bark sticking up or stripped down the trunk, again leaving the trees vulnerable. When they threw trimmings down to the street for collection, they broke branches of nearby shrubs and left several large branches near a pruned tree for me to deal with. I would never hire them and will not recommend them. read more

On the up side, the tree work was great and the arborist knowledgeable. The clearance of trees was amazing. Bought a full day work from 9-4. On the downside, they do not actually pull weeds as it says in their agreement. Just a weed whacking which includes the tops of wanted plants. They started 30 minutes late and left at 2:40 with lunch included and some debris left (water bottles, etc. Said they would come out for some weeding, but did not. I needed some oak trees trimmed back on a 2 acre lot along with the removal of some dead trees. I was apprehensive about choosing a reliable, fair, and capable tree trimming service. The area I live in is very passionate about the trees. On a Monday, Good Morning sent a knowledgeable and friendly arborist out, at the exact time they said, to discuss the service with me. He was well informed about the trees, as well as local ordinances. Within an hour I had a quote in my email that was lower than expected. I approved and today, 2 days later, they were on site, again at the exact time they said they would be. To say these guys knew what they were doing would be an understatement. Amazing to watch them rope up and perform the trimming, which they performed with precision and care, as well as hauling everything away. Well when they came and I saw them working I would have given them 5 stars. However in less than a week a 10 foot limb fell from the tree that had fresh cut marks on it. I contacted them twice by email and they have acted like it would be a new job. All I wanted was the next time in my area for them to pick up the limb. Secondly I paid cash for the job. I keep getting billing saying I owe them for tax. The job was quoted at $550.00 with tax the estimate I got was $595.00. I gave them $600.00 cash and they keep sending billing for $45.00 more. They have yet to clear the billing problem even though I contacted them 3 times on this problem. read more

I wanted trees trimmed, some large limbs removed and bug treatment for two trees in the front. I was given two separate bids, one for tree trimming one for treatment. The tree work was fine. The crew was efficient and completed the work in about 3 hours. However, the crew did not clean everything up and I had to chase them down as they were leaving to finish cleaning up. This really irritated me especially for the sum I paid for less than a half day of work. The owner never followed up on the bug treatment and I had to reach out and ask when it would be scheduled. I got the phone tag treatment and no formal schedule on the calendar. After a few back and forth texts, I gave up and I think that was the general idea. This company sells itself as doing everything trees including treatment for disease and insects. My impression is it is strictly a tree trimming and removal company. I was looking for more than just tree trimming and large limb removal. I feel misled and oversold. I will not use this company again, not even for tree removal. I don't believe in giving 3-4 star reviews and all things considered this is on the low end. I'm really tired of companies misprepresenting themselves or not following through on commitments. I can't say enough good things about A Good Morning Tree Service. We had a very dangerous tree limb hanging over our property line that was breaking in a huge way...with large branches resting on both ours and our neighbors house. Our neighbor had neglected her side of the tree for years. Her house is up for sale, and she has not been reachable for months. It all came down to an emergency we thought no one could tackle. We were so scared that the limb was going to break onto our house, or fall into our A/C unit. Tracy and her crew were super professional, polite, fast and accommodating throughout the entire job. There has been a huge weight lifted off of our shoulders, knowing our house is now clear and out of harms way. Hats off to this company who swiftly and accurately grabbed the reigns and took care of what needed to be done. We are so greatful for the work completed. The crew gets 5 stars and the office staff gets 1 star. The crew did a great job cutting and cleaning up. They were great to work with. I am sure my wife gave them the "all good" before they cut one branch I specifically asked them to cut (as I was leaving for work). I sent an email, with photo, saying I would like that branch cut on a follow up the next time they were in my neighborhood. I received an email reply saying they should have someone in the area and they would take care of it. I then called to pay my bill. That is where things went south. I asked the woman if she could add something to my bill to cover the follow up since it wasn't entirely their fault. The woman on the phone just started telling why they weren't wrong. She started quoting me policy on how far a branch should be from a house. When I told her the branch was OVER the roof (and directed her to the photo I sent in my follow up email), she changed the policy and said she meant "over", not "away from". It was very odd. And the work is very doable. It's one smallish branch I can't reach with my ladder.. and I OFFERED TO PAY before she said anything - my side let the crew go, I own that. She just clearly wanted to make some point and not offer a solution. She would not let it go. She never did offer a solution and she never followed up on the reply email saying they would come by. I would not use this company again. I'd say it's a good company if all goes well on the first trip but don't expect any level of customer service if you need follow up. They clearly have a "the customer is wrong and we will stand our ground" mentality. The sad part is, I conceded from the start. I just know when neighbors ask who did my work I will not send them to a company that does not offer customer support and I will find another solution when I start on my backyard. read more
