Second, after owning several homes in Dallas and Austin over the last fifty-plus years, I think I can quickly evaluate people who are knowledgeable in their area of expertise, and Silver Tree Care is just that. He responded immediately, arrived right on time to give a free quote the day before Thanksgiving, quickly evaluated the project, and sent the quote within 30 minutes of leaving. His estimate was reasonable, and he was able to schedule the work for the following Monday morning. This morning his team arrived promptly at 9am, were working by 9:15, and were done with the full project (front yard tree trimming, stump removal/root grinding, and planting of a new 45-gallon tree) before 11:30. My property got hit by a freak ice-storm that did some big damage to my large trees. I contacted several companies and this is how that went: - Company1 - I'd used them before and had high hopes of hiring them again, but never got a response back from my quote request nor my attempts to call their main line. - Company2 - They said they'd get me a quote after confirming that I still needed one. Its been 2 weeks and nada. - Company3 - Nothing bad to say, they were prompt and professional...but much much higher than I expected for this unanticipated tree shrapnel. Amazing crew. It was very easy to schedule with them to come for estimate and set up a schedule. I had a tree in the back yard that has termites, so I need to cut down the entire tree which is at least 20ft high. They were very punctual with truck and a large tow truck for clean up. One guy started cleaning up the other trees while the other two were cutting down my diseased tree. They are very efficient and left with the yard very clean. And they also helped with some extra work that I need help with here and there without over charging. I remember Silver Tree worked on my neighbor's Ash trees last year and they were highly recommended by them. To give some perspective, my backyard slopes downhill and this dead Arizona Ash is over 50 feet tall and at least 40 years old. The giant tree loomed over my home's power lines, the internet cable and a dozen baby sapling trees. Silver Tree was able to remove the tree in a few hours without disturbing anything around the tree, they were amazing. They even cut the stump as I requested into a perfectly level table-top shape, I love it. The crew at Silver Tree was professional, courteous and very quick with the job. Due to age and size, the tree required a removal permit from the city, but he submitted this on my behalf and got it approved. Not having to deal with the city bureaucracy at all was priceless. After the 2023 ice storm, my insurance company asked me to remove any remaining tree limbs from over my roof. I texted Sylvester mid-afternoon a few days ago and got an immediate response. We had a 100 foot hackberry in the corner of our garden with a lot of complications on the ground around it - including a gazebo and lots of plants I didn't want to get crushed. Somehow Silver Tree managed to fell this monster with delicacy and care, lowering each cut branch with ropes, rather than letting them crash to the ground. At one point they knocked on our door and gave my wife a little nest of doves that needed some TLC ; - ) There were no casualties (in terms of plants and the gazebo), everything was hauled off, and we felt $1,800 was a fair price for such expertise - hence five stars. read more

We asked for a quote through Yelp and they stopped at our house on their way back home. We had one large juniper that needed to come out. They gave a fair bid (in line with another quote) and said they could take it out right then at 5:30. They were more careful than any other tree removal service we have used. Nothing dropped on our roof and no divots in the yard. They dug the stump out for a reasonable additional charge. The crew raked and cleaned up the area. After multiple bids and the majority of them for a pretty penny, not to mention they couldn't get to the tree until June and it would take a full day plus to take it down, Silver Tree gave us a bid of significantly less AND they would be here in the next day with removal taking four hours.
