Although they have an email address and phone, they rarely responded and when they did it was usually via messages on Facebook. We were told our video would take 3 to 4 months and we got our video after nearly 6 months with zero communication about the delay. I contacted her and we corresponded via email up until the time we met her in New York. I prepaid a deposit for her sitting fee. I was a little nervous cold-calling a photographer in NYC because, let's face it, anything can happen. Of all the photographers that came up in my search, I am so glad I chose Alyson. She was professional, but throughout our shoot, I felt like we were working with a friend or family. She was very patient with us and had excellent creative suggestions. Bottom line, I love the pictures. She took many, many photos and it was honestly hard to narrow it down to just 100 favorites. She is also very reasonably priced. Meraki is a photography and creative studio in Lincoln Nebraska, the cutest little spot to reserve!…read moreEntirely white walls with an abundance of props, cute plants, a big double sided backdrop, and a handful of paper backdrops to choose from, this spot offers a lot! Some thing I really love is that the lighting inside the studio is a lot better than other studios I have seen or tried. You can really work with it and pretty much any angle you go from has great lighting. Tip, if you reserved the seamless backdrop paper, make sure you know how to set those things up! It definitely takes time and you want to go in knowing what to do instead of wasting the time that you have reserved trying to figure it out. It's pretty simple but definitely took me at least 15 minutes to figure out and set up. Cleanliness : The floor is pretty dirty and you can almost guarantee getting black sea and dirty pants if you're sitting on the ground. Otherwise it's decently clean and there is a really nice bathroom you can use if need be. She also has Wi-Fi, coffee coffee station, and more. I love how much she has to offer in terms of props, really helps make the session fun. Rates : One hour session is $60, 2 hour session is $110, 3 hour session $160, and so on. You can also add on an extra 30 minutes for $25 if you want. There is a fee if you cancel, and you will not get a full refund, but if you reschedule you can do so without any fee. There is also a fee if you are there even 10 minutes after you're supposed to be gone, so make sure you are watching the clock!
