There is a sign that says the playground is open during daylight. Park at the northeast corner of the school and walk around back. A big playset with tunnels, slides, games, etc. Another playset focused on climbing. Three little "clubhouses" for kids to sit in. Teeter totters (very low to the ground,) climbing ropes, basketball courts nearby, a few benches, a shaded dining area, and more. And, another school next door with another cool-looking playground. When I went to the boys restroom inside, they had no hand dryer or paper towel dispenser. The metal detector is for students, staff, and visitors. However, during the event is where athletes and coaches did not have to go through the metal detector during the Andrus Classic. I will have to come back to Whetstone High School to watch an event there.
