My experience with this Fast Track location is through enrolling my son into its G&T prep course…read more It was a wonderful experience and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent that wishes to give their son or daughter the best educational opportunity possible. I can only speak about Daisy, my son's instructor. I believe she also manages this location. She is a wonderful instructor who clearly cares about the kids and empathizes with parents about this whole ordeal. Given her experience, she is also very knowledgeable about the exam and G&T process in general. She was very pleasant to deal with. I won't bore you with the details of the curriculum as you can find that out for yourself through Fast Track. The best thing I can say is that my son enjoyed the class and the "homework." Daisy made learning fun for him and the other kids, and that's important. It's also very structured and I liked that hw really was minimal. My son had enough stuff going on besides G&T prep, and he was only 4 years old! To summarize, Daisy did a great job preparing my son, and the results prove it. I recommend this location, this course, and Daisy.

The staff was wonderful and they even had a screen to watch from the lobby what she was working on in the room. After each visit we were sent home with suggested areas to focus on. Our daughter was fortunate enough to score 99 on the exam and is now in a wonderful G&T program that she loves. We were so impressed with this program and the teacher, Daisy, that we are now signing up our son for the 3 year old Explorer program in the Fall of 2014 as his first educational experience. As a first time parent, I was very nervous sending my daughter to daycare, but the teachers were wonderful with her and so patient and reassuring with me. The directors and staff are also very accommodating of the needs of the parents and are more than willing to work with you if you need help. My daughter has not only been well cared for, but she has also learned so much. The teachers are so caring, compassionate and creative. Weekly lesson plans are sent out so you know the theme of the week and all the activities they will be doing, which range from reading, music, science, sensory bins, practicing fine/gross motor skills, playing pretend, nature walks etc. The activities are just so creative and engaging for the kids. For example, today my daughter made a fire truck cookie using graham crackers, icing and Oreos. They also have someone come in and do a music class with the kids twice a month and yoga twice a month. There are also other additional optional programs offered such as dance, sports, and art. The enrichment activities are amazing, such as having visits from fire fighters, police officers, dentists, Santa as well as the teddy bear clinic, pony rides and at Halloween, a trunk or treat. They even offer a free evening event for families at Christmas time all Polar Express themed, with various activities and pictures with Santa. Summer camp is also incredible with weekly splash days on the playground, princess balls, dinosaur shows, bubble shows, petting zoo and field trips for the older kids. My daughter has picked up so much so quickly, all because of the varied experiences/activities they have provided for her. Choosing Crawlers to Scholars has been the best decision my husband and I could have made. We truly feel like we hit the lottery with this daycare.

There was a simple miscommunication when it came to his diapers (super minor) and the teacher rectified it right away and contacted me to clarify/discuss. The teacher and/or school are always reaching out, even for something simple, to keep me and my husband apprised and informed. We appreciate this so much and truly find it to be a reflection of those they hire to nurture and educate the children. We find their COVID protocols very well followed, and we're not nervous sending our son here a few days a week. The staff, teachers and administration always greet us at pick up/drop off and make us feel like our sons going to a special place and loved. In reference to the other comment on curriculum, they're under 2 years. They are just getting acclimated to going to school, let alone the ability to do a true art masterpiece. I think that's a bit unrealistic when it comes to an expectation of artistic ability at that age. Our son has come home with some really great art projects and we're really happy with his progress being he's not even 18 months old. He's learning so much already and we're grateful. Overall, we're very happy with Ridgewood Montessori and will continue to send our son for years to come (as long as everything stays as great as it's been!). From the incredible teacher to student ratio, personal education plan for each child, and all students in the elementary school even learn a real instrument (mine is learning guitar) ... the list goes on and on. I have even been impressed by the amazing handling of the past 2 years of Covid protocol.... All impressive!! I personally feel that these children have had the most "normal" school experience possible during the past two years giving them support and consistency that children need. Teachers are very responsive to emails and always make themselves available both before and after school for any concerns both in person and via zoom. Administration knows all the children by name and engages with them regularly. We came from another private school where our experience was disheartening and are so happy to have found our Ridgewood Montessori School Family!
