I participated in the Embrace Tutoring College Essay scholarship contest and found the experience to be incredibly enriching. The essay prompt was incredibly thought-provoking, challenging me to think about how my ideal school would be designed. This evocative prompt not only forced me to think of what system of schooling would suit my tastes the best, but it also forced me to try to understand why the current educational system was designed the way that it is. The following process of voting for essays also taught me about the people outreach skills and resilience that would be required to achieve my goals in life. I can honestly say that Embrace Tutoring provided me with the tools to achieve my standardized testing goal.
