There were a couple of…read moreboxes that we forgot to mention in the invetory and they ended up charging us £35 extra for it. We had no option but to accept this as we were in the process of moving and needed to get it completed. Also requested them to come at 10am and they turned up almost an hour earlier. When we mentioned this to them, they moaned about keeping them waiting. Tried to resolve the issues with the head office but they were quite rude and made out they were doing us a favour!! Wouldn't recommend but if you are going to use them, make sure every item is listed, otherwise be prepared to be charged a lot more than their quote.

Strong words - I know, but the whole process, from booking, pre-move communication, thorugh the move itself was one of the most painless (I struggle to say pleasurable when I discuss moving - but it's almost there!) hassle-free, experiences I've ever had. I actually didn't book directly with Gladiator, I posted my job via Anyvan.com and received competing bids. Gladiator's quote came in the middle, but they had a good amount of positive reviews, and were good in following up, asking questions and keeping channels of communication open. I had them on my shortlist, then they shared that they have a box scheme where they can provide us boxes for our move at a small cost and come collect them after. I was sold! They delivered the boxes a few weeks in advance, arranging a convenient time for us, and communicating the delivery window and while the driver was on the road. They supplied more than we needed and even the tape! The boxes were multi-walled and of good quality. Better than we had purchased locally for our previous move. The team communicated leading up to the move with email reminders of what to expect on the day. Then the day of they gave us a call in route - they were about to arrive and would be 30 mins early and we weren't ready yet. We asked them to wait a bit, to start at the agreed upon time as we had to get the kids ready and out the door. Shawn, the Team Leader and Kimanye came in to assess the location and items to be moved and were polite and got right to it quickly getting started and organising an efficient system. I know it's a small thing - but I really liked that they wore a logo'd shirt which matched their liveried van. It installed a sense of professionalism and pride in what they were doing and confidence for us in that they weren't some people who had some time on their hands and just rolled up. (Our last movers appeared in a variety of sweatsuits, tshirts and crazy looking truck). Kimanye and Shawn were courteous, efficient and extremely polite - even through the freakishly warm London day and subsequent thunderstorm. The team had a time goal and met it within minutes, and were careful with all pieces being moved and open to our feedback. Shawn's packing of the truck shows he is clearly a master at Tetris! As this review clearly shows as exhausting and annoying as a move can be - these guys provided us the best experience possible and I'm absolutely delighted with them. In the future we will go back to them directly, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.
