They basically stole my recently deceased brothers car from his home where had lived. His grieving mother who has vascular onset dementia was talked into it by her so called friend who is her neighbor and part owner of AJ towing. She said she worked there but actually SHE DOES NOT! My brother had no will and the car was part of his estate that was/is in probate that could not be sold till cleared. They said they sent letters to the register owner who.... was deceased. They could not provide any documents proving they had permission to take the car. So now after many texts,emails and calls we find out that they have now put the title in their name. To get the car back they are demanding 10,000 in fees for storage in their yard that we did not need as she took advantage of an elderly person in a very vulnerable position. Please be aware of their very unscrupulous business practices. PS Even the owner Doug refused to come out to discuss the issue with us. They still have the car....now pending a civil suit read more

These guys are absolute crooks. their only goal is to make as much money on your misfortune as possible. ICBC asked to have my brand new truck towed from my driveway, straight to Ford. Instead, they took it to their yard, and won't disclose where it is for 3 days. this is a service truck with all my personal tools in the back, and how I make a living. I talked to Kandace, the manager several times, who kept telling me it was a mistake on icbcs end. later that night, after hours, my friend Scott who owns Midas in town calls me, and asks me why A.J. towing is towing my 2022 superduty to his shop after hours. None of this made sense, as I never mentioned Scott or Midas to anyone. turns out they "confused my 2022 superduty with another 2022 superduty" ‍. Finally, after getting this call, i decided to stop by AJ's office in person. they were closed, but one of the drivers comes to talk to me and I explain the story. CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY!!! Came home to find my Strata getting AJ towing to take my friend's car away. Tried to talk with the driver and got between him and the car. He pressed himself up again me, pushing me against the car, and asked me if I wanted to try him. He was extremely aggressive, and I felt very unsafe with him. He then refused to talk with me, so I called the RCMP. The RCMP stated they couldn't do anything about him putting his hands on me, that I should talk with the towing company. AJ towing stated their driver reported to them that I shoulder checked him first. Which I did not. I'm not gonna attack a man who has been verbally abusive and aggressive. When I told them that this was a lie, their dispatcher then said they wouldn't do anything about it and that I should talk to the RCMP. So, beware, neither the RCMP or AJ Towing are willing to do anything about their drivers acting aggressive and threatening. read more

After dealing with BCAA and them saying no one could help with my motor home and I was on my own, we talked to someone at Thousand Trails who gave us their card. Lucky us! They came out and was able to lift our motor home so we could get our lifts back in place when the leveling system failed. He knew exactly what to do and we were back on the road in 30 minutes! I had called AJ Towing to have my sons car towed from where he broke down on hwy1 as they were recomended to me by a passing motorist. Not only did they come but they came right away, which was very appreciated as my young son was stuck by himself. Both the dispatcher on the phone and the tow truck driver were extremely helpfull, polite and accommodating to our situation. Thank you for going above and beyond yesterday when I stupidly put diesel in my Honda. I didn't know where to go or what to do and your driver made several calls for me on the spot to figure out the best place to tow me to. You could have just left me at the Honda to muddle through but you made more phone calls without me asking you to and called me back with a better option which allowed us to carry on and get to where we were going. My car was towed out of a ditch that I slid into because of avoiding a collision. I waited over 2 hours for them to show ,by that time I had left trusting them after talking with dispatch AND the operator. They assured me it would be handled safely AND, that I could pick it up the following day. When I called to go pick it up the new dispatch person was extremely rude , and claimed to be the owner and said neither one of her employees would say that I could pick it up on a weekend. Once I was able to pick it up on the Monday the rear tire was facing outward AND the front end was bent up. That model of cars air bags will pop at 8 miles an hour , I slid in at less then that just because of the wet grass. When I said I could send pictures of the obvious cable marks that were around the control arms she became offensive and basically said go fuck yourself take it up with your insurance. She would not offer her insurance company name nor try to settle it privately. I would rather have a horse and buggy pull me out next time if there ever is one, then these clowns. read more

My car was towed by AJ Towing on a Sat night in Chilliwack as it was broken down. I tried to call it on Sunday to get my car back as it was indicated on the website that the company works 24 hours but the answering service directed me to call the office on Monday at 9:00 am as the company closed on Sunday. It was very confusing. On Monday morning, I called the office 3 times and asked different questions. Michelle, the receptionist was really rude and annoyed with my calls. I explained to her that I called with different questions in doubt and hopefully she could help me. She was extremely unhappy, complaining that she was very busy. A J Towing refused another towing company to tow my car to the nearby garage. They only allowed their own company,Wally's, O'Conner or Mario's to do the job. If I wanted to get into the impounded yard to get something from my car, there will a charge. A J Towing is a gouging company, unethical and unprofessional. Our camper van broke down and AJ came out to give us a boost. However the tow truck driver figured we would just make it to the Canadian Tire before our alternator kicked it. Talk about accurate. These tow truck drivers know their stuff. We got the alternator fixed and not 5 minutes away, we broke down again. They pinpointed the starter motor this time and nailed the problem again. This company is unethical, unprofessional and rude. They impounded my car from my parking lot for not having insurance (for 2 hours). In order to release my car after 12 hours, they charged me $450.00! Tow companies in Abbotsford said this service should cost only $100.00. This is price gouging and robbery - holding my car hostage until I paid. Completely disgusting! read more
