The rooms are very huge and the staff is absolutely super-friendly - never seen such great staff in a hostel! Only drawback: there is an aircondition instead of windows, which you could open. Even the receptionist in the evening said that his boss won't let him turn on the air conditioner all the time. The air conditioner is only turned on during a few hours in the evening. I was there at the end of June and it was so hot, I had to sleep in the lobby. The windows do not open so there is no hope of a cross breeze. The day=time receptionist was so incredibly unfriendly and treated us like we were a major bother to her. How this place landed in the Brierly guide I'll never know. You've been warned.

Overall, it did the job, just not as fancy as other albergue we've been to before. I'm not sure if I'm a super fan of the paper thin mattress coverings and pillow coverings, but I imagine it is an attempt to prevent the spread of lice or hosting bed bugs. I had no issues with either, by the way. Clean. If you're looking for a quick one-nighter, this could work for you! Just FYI that it is a bit of a walk away from the city center, but you will be surrounded by local stores and eateries!

This authentic old stone house could have been here for hundreds of years. It resembles a Hobbit Hole and makes you feel mythical. Old wood beams and stairs that creak with character. I do think I got bed bug bites here or at the other hostel I stayed at just before this but oh well it's the Camino.
