Clean and modern, we had a wonderful view of the Miño River, the longest river in Galicia, Spain, from our room. The room itself had two double beds with a nice hardwood floor and flat screen TV. I would recommend this place for the friendly staff and great breakfast buffet that was included with our stay. It's located right in the heart of this small town that's surrounded by so much history and culture.

It has a kind of new age vibe that you get from the images in the lobby area, the signs that are hanging there, and the large terrarium that lets natural light into the sleeping quarters. The place was reasonably clean and we got a decent night's sleep here. The bathrooms, too, were clean. The albergue is located right along the main thoroughfare, close to a convenience store, restaurants, and everything else you could need. One odd feature of this albergue was the rooftop laundry. Once you climb the stairs, there's a small patio area up off the roof where you can handwash your clothing and hang it to dry.

Both Pedro Xose and Carmen welcome you into their converted farmhouse that has both a small albergue/dormitory as well as private rooms with a shared bathroom. Staying here is like a home away from home. The meals are home made, you walk by the kitchen and see what's for dinner. Outside Casa de Carmen, there are lovely gardens as well as horses grazing and Pedro Xose's dogs wander around, and will try to entice into a game of catch. It is hard to find places on the Camino that provides one with such attentiveness and warmth. It truly felt like a home away from home yet with lots of Spanish charm! If you can stay here... you must!

The room was plenty big and it share a nice bathroom with another room. My wife described the decor as "very cute." We hung around outside for a while and they have a few cute dogs that are up for any and all shenanigans. They are very entertaining. If you are in the mood for a beer they have a vending machine that has beer. For me that is a huge plus. The dinner was delicious. I had a fish soup to start with that was awesome. They kept the wind flowing and everyone ate their fill. The place had a country farmhouse feel to it and everyone was so welcoming. We stayed in a lovely room, and had a wonderful dinner. If I could pick one place on the Camino to go back to for a night it would be here.

The room was updated/rustic--clean--I loved the stone walls--Everything about this place was gracious and had a simple elegance--The chef and the kitchen team really knew how to prepare exceptionally beautiful food and plate it as art--it is rare to find such a great place while traveling off the beaten path.

The service was excellent and the location is in a great spot if you want to go out and explore the town. The room we got was able to accommodate my disability with no issue. The breakfast was great, I would stay here and if I come back to this area again.
